Professional Keynote Speaker John Di Frances
Business speaker John Di Frances is a motivational keynote speaker who has been recognized by Convention South Magazine as "One of the Most Desired Speakers." John's keynote speeches are energetic, humorous and most importantly, packed with high value information that moves audiences to action. He never uses 'stock' or 'canned' speeches, but rather creates each speech uniquely to fit the specific needs of each audience. Among professional keynote speakers this is very unusual, but John believes that each audience deserves to hear a message that is designed for them rather than a one size fits all solution. His speaking topics cover a range of business topics, based upon his 30+ years of international executive and senior consulting experience. John does not speak from something he learned from a textbook, but rather from real life experience. With rampant global competitiveness and faltering economies making business ever more difficult, John brings his audiences a message of hope and through innovative solutions, the ability to counter the prevailing tide and reap the benefits of hidden opportunities.

GTAC 2011: Opening Keynote Address - Test is Dead
6th Annual Google Test Automation Conference 2011 (GTAC 2011) "Cloudy With A Chance Of Tests" Computer History Museum Mountain View, CA USA October 26-27, 2011 Opening Keynote: Test is Dead Presented by Alberto Savoia ABSTRACT The way most software is designed, developed, and launched has changed dramatically over the last decade -- but what about testing? Alberto Savoia believes that software testing as we knew it is dead -- or at least moribund -- in which case we should stick a fork in it and proactively take it out of its misery for good. In this opening keynote of biblical scope, Alberto will cast stones at the old test-mentality and will try his darnedest to agitate you and convince you that these days most testers should follow a new test-mentality, one which includes shifting their focus and priority from "Are we building it right?" to "Are we building the right it?" The subtitle of this year's GTAC is "cloudy with a chance of tests," and if anyone can gather the clouds into a hurricane, it's Alberto -- it might be wise to bring your umbrella. Alberto Savoia is Director of Engineering and Innovation Agitator at Google. In addition to leading several major product development efforts (including the launch of Google AdWords), Alberto has been a lifelong believer, champion, innovator and entrepreneur in the area of developer testing and test automation tools. He is a frequent keynote speaker and the author of many articles on testing, including the classic booklet ...

Voice of the Customer | Keynote Speaker on Voice of the Customer
Voice of the Customer - www.imtc3.com Call 941-907-0666 - Keynote Speaker on Voice of the Customer The voice of the customer (VOC) concepts used today can be traced to Yoji Akao's work with Toyota in the 1960's. His 1978 book on his Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology introduced a valuable, rigorous but highly complex system. The purpose of QFD was to capture and translate customer desires into functional product characteristics and features that engineers could use for product design and improvement. Akao's system uses a series of matrices which are referred to as "the house of quality". The QFD system is far beyond what most of us mere mortals (non-engineers) will need, have patience for or will take the time to use. Other than the need for simplicity, these VOC methods have several technical weaknesses or omissions which can waste effort and severely limit effectiveness of results. These include: Poor applicability outside manufacturing. Service and knowledge work does not create long runs of identical products, so product design in that context requires a different way. Assumption that "the customer" is known. That can be a serious error. QFD-based VOC methods, such as those used by Six Sigma and ISO-9000 practitioners do not provide a clear method for determining the small number of finite roles a customer can play with a product or service. The result is that there is a high probability the most important customers do not get their voices properly ...

Johnny Cash - SXSW 1994 Keynote Address
VIDEO COURTESY OF TIM HAMBLIN Flashback to 1994. Where were you on March 17? That was the day the man in black came to SXSW to serve as keynote speaker and blow us all away with a mesmerizing set at Emo's. Yes, Johnny Cash played Emo's... on the same bill as Beck... who was then largely unknown. But I digress... I feel fortunate to introduce this keynote clip. I feel even more fortunate to have been there. (Yes, that's me standing next to him looking like a total doof in the press shots. He was surrounded by men, decided that wasn't right and said, "I need some girls here" and grabbed then music booker Annie McReynolds and me to stand beside him. Talk about being in a magical place at a magical time.) It's amazing to see Mr. Cash come to life, sharing stories, singing songs. He was a sweet and generous man and of the hundreds of highlights throughout the history of SXSW, this one stands the test of time and shows what a consummate performer and funny man he was. We were all dazzled and charmed. Cash's SXSW performance at Emo's was a precursor to the April release of American Recordings, his first collaboration with producer Rick Rubin. You'll see snippets of songs from the album in this clip. The record revitalized Cash's career and included a new version of "Delia's Gone" and a soulful reworking of Leonard Cohen's "Bird on a Wire" alongside the Glenn Danzig penned "Thirteen." I'm thrilled they dug this clip out of the video vault. Without further ado, ladies and ...
