Key Frame Animation
This is a digital dub of a 7 minute, 45 second 16 mm film produced in 1971 by the National Research Council of Canada, in Ottawa. It demonstrates not only one of the first ineractve computer systems for animation, one used for production, it was also an outstanding example of early user-centred design. The system was developed by Marceli Wein and Nestor Burtnyk, both of whom won Academy Awards for this influential work. For some additional information, see also: Burtnyk, N. & M. Wein, M. 1976. Keyframes - Final Cut Pro X
SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS bit.ly Keyframes are changes that you make regarding control that can be applied to both audio and video in Final Cut Pro X. For instance, you might have a scene you're editing that requires the audio to lower in the middle of the scene and then increase back to its original level toward the end of the scene. To do so, select the clip you need to adjust by clicking on it. Then, press and hold Alt/Option on your keyboard. A small plus sign will appear with your mouse icon. When you click with your mouse on the audio clip in the Timeline while pressing and holding Alt/Option you will create a Keyframe point. Keep making points along the audio clip as desired. These points allow you to adjust the level/volume of the audio wherever they are on the clip. Once created, you can click and hold with your mouse on these points to move them around as you like. Keyframes can also be used to create motion with graphics and Titles. To do so, add a Title to the Timeline and double-click on it to reveal the Inspector window to the right of the Viewer. Place the play marker at the beginning of your Title and add Keyframes. You can do this under the Video tab in the Inspector window by clicking the small diamond-shaped icons to the right of the options under the Transform menu. These icons will turn a yellowish-orange color when enabled. You can adjust the Position, Rotation and Scale of the Title with Keyframes. Once the Keyframes are enabled, place the play ...

How to Animate Keyframes In Adobe After Effects
SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS bit.ly Keyframe Animation is one of those basic things that's going to apply across the board to everything you do in Adobe After Effects. It's a fairly basic concept that calls for you to take your footage from point A to point B within a certain amount of given time. So, to begin, you'll need to define where point A is and where point B is on your Timeline. Create a new Composition first by navigating to the top menu bar and clicking Composition -- New Composition or by pressing Command+N on your keyboard. With your newly created Composition set up, click in its blank window, navigate to the top menu bar and click Layer -- New -- Solid. This will reveal a dialog box allowing you to specify options, such as width, height and color, for creating a solid of any kind. Press OK to create a solid within your Composition window. Make the solid smaller so it looks like a small cube and drag it over toward the left side of the Composition window. Start with your play marker at the beginning of your Timeline and click the stop watch icon next to Position in the bottom panel. This will create a keyframe at the location of your play marker. Then, scrub forward any given length of time with your play marker and move the solid cube to a different position in the Composition window. Once moved, click the stop watch icon again to create another keyframe at the new location of your play marker. Now, you've created a keyframe at the beginning of the clip ...
