Girls first Ski Jump
Learning Ski Jumping takes courage, and this 4th grader has what it takes Ok seeing so many still question the title - This is a GIRL! Not one of my daughters but a close friend This was shot with my Contour camera and there is no editing or acting it's the real deal As several people have pointed out it's more about the emotions and facing your fears and overcoming them, than the jump itself The jump is not small, the launch is a good 6 feet high and it crosses a Cat Track before the landing slope starts, at a guess a good 8 feet horizontal, and that's only to the start of the landing ramp, no idea what distance she got on this, her first K40 jump. Personally I find it inspirational

On March 15, 2012, Austria's Felix Baumgartner jumped out of a space capsule from an altitude of approximately 71580 feet as the Red Bull Stratos project moved forward into the manned flight stage in New Mexico. The 42-year-old rode the space capsule attached to a giant helium balloon above the so-called "Armstrong Line." We shot this over a couple different afternoons. The first afternoon I went out with a bunch of friends, and filmed them jumping off of the tower. On the second day we shot the "story" part of the video, that's when we shot the guy in the " Ghillie suit", "sneaking in", and the guy then jumping off of the tower doing the "gainer(frontward backflip)". All of the video was shot on a Canon 5D Mark II except for the slow motion shots where I had two other friends come and help me film those. Those two friends were... -Jase LeRoy -Nate Smith For the slowmotion shots, they were shot on a Canon 7D and a Canon T2i. We used a Canon 16-35mm F/2.8 L series lens for all the wide handheld shots. And we used a Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 L series lens for all of the tight shots. As far as making the camera look like it was "flying", I used a glidecam 4000 HD for all those shots.
