1955 AMI G-120 juke box from my grandfather's bar
This Juke was in Porky's, my grandfather's bar, in Arcadia Iowa for around 30 years. Then it was in storage in an outdoor shed for 27 years. Now it is in my basement, and has been restored to working order! Shown is the full play from putting in a coin to the armature placing the record back on the rack.

This is a German built 1980 Wurlitzer jukebox from 1980. It belongs to a customer and was repaired in my workshop (Amptech Services, Isle of Wight) after being laid up some years ago with an amplifier fault. It sounds wonderful, and really takes you back to beery nights in the pub 30 years ago (if you're old enough to remember)....

(1978) Rock-Ola #451 45 rpm Jukebox In Disrepair
My father started collecting 45's in the late 70's, when they were on the verge of obsolescence, so he raided K-Mart often and picked up 45's for pennies on the dollar. What to do with all of them though? Him and a few friends were down in Tennessee, and raided an old bar. Whether it was abandoned, closed down, or for sale I do not know the details. Anyways, according to story, he stole it from said bar and brought it back with him here to Indiana, where it was carried down a staircase and into the basement where it has sat for the last two decades. Over the years, it has fallen into disarray and nothing works right. Everything metal needs to be oiled, everything rubber needs to be replaced, and anything that has a screw needs to be adjusted. My brother often gets drunk and tries to play it, each time in doing so, he fucks up the relays and messes it up worse. It still remembers the last selection pushed on it when I myself last touched it 2 years ago, and since it can never finish a record, it never clears the play cache. Now, something new that it has been doing, is the speakers start flickering and going out at random on the left and right sides and sometimes off completely. I really need someone to come fix it for me, as we have 4 or 5 boxes of 45's, and no way to mass-play them all at once. Nobody makes house calls to fix these anymore, and nobody knows how to fix them either. I'd like to get one that plays CD's, but that is a last-resort effort. I am playing Donna ...
