Jon Schmidt's "Waterfall"
This is me playing a contemporary piano piece called "Waterfall" written by Jon Schmidt (the most amazing pianist on Earth). **To any piano players out there, if you enjoy this song as much as I do I would strongly recommend learning this piece. It is rewarding in more ways than one, and the "learning" or "practicing" stages are not so bad, it's actually quite repetative and well written out for easy reading. I encourage you for this challenge, and I would love to see a video of your performance. Shall you decide to make said video, just post it as a video response so I know it's there, and who knows...maybe it'll help with the views too. =] good luck! *More Schmidt recommendations from me are "All of Me" , "Dumb Song", "To the Summit" , and "Song of the Ocean". This is one of my favorite song from Jon Schmidt. I spent lots of time to practicing that I felt so upset and angry when I practiced this song, coz my hands are not big enough to reach some notes. I've practiced almost 3 and half months(I practice everyday). I try my best to play this song,but I still have some errors... Hope I can really come over those errors later. How to play Jon Schmidt's "All of Me"
By request, I created this tutorial video from an earlier MIDI recording I had made (the same one as used in my All of Me MIDI 3D video). Since this is my own performance, it's not identical to Jon's sheet music, but I tried to clean up the most glaring errors and quantized it to hopefully make it easier to follow. Also note that the sustain pedal is used ad-lib throughout, so don't go by the note lengths alone. It will play through twice, first at half speed and then at full speed beginning at 6:05. Original sheet music is available on www.jonschmidt.com.
