Jobless French youth turns to entrepreneurship

Unemployment is a key topic of debate in the French presidential election campaign. Young people, in particular, in France are struggling to find jobs -- more than 20 percent of under 25s are currently out of work. Breaking into the job market is often the hardest part, then there's the question of clinching a staff contract in a relevant job sector. After months of work experience placements which led to nothing, a young entrepreneur in the northern city of Caen decided to create his own business. Duration: 01:49

Time Not on Side of the Jobless

The job market is improving, but not for everyone. Even as unemployment falls overall, long-term unemployment remains little improved, and people who gave up looking for jobs aren't returning to the workforce. Economists say this divergence in fortunes is a worrying sign of a structural shift in the US economy that could leave many displaced workers on the sidelines even if the recovery gains strength.

COLLEGE Is A SCAM: The Jobless Generation (updated with body language analysis)

If you want to make money, copy someone who has already figured out how, not someone who hasn't. Link: www.businessballs.com I was drained when expressing the stuff in this video because it seems that most people hate these ideas, can't relate to them, don't find any value in them, or try to argue against my point because their world-view is different than mine (especially if I were to say these things inside a public school.) I usually always avoid ranting, debating, arguing, and "laying into people" like this. I can just imagine people getting upset and leaving dumb comments in the comment section. However, after adding the captions in the video, I felt A LOT better because I was doing things behind the scenes and wasn't in front of the camera talking about a potentially controversial topic. Looking at the body language site, analyzing myself, and then labeling what body language I was displaying was actually charging, and I felt back to my normal self. I don't naturally get charged up discussing things with others that could potentially lead up to an argument with someone else. I've seen this time after time again - whenever someone expresses their personal values in a room full of people, there is always going to be someone (or many) who strongly disagree and commence arguing with emotion. It just seems like the more you express some idea that could potentially be controversial or "question the status quo", the more people hate you. Maybe this is why you see me ...

Noam Chomsky on US Economic Crisis: Joblessness, Excessive Military Spending and Healthcare

DemocracyNow.org - President Obama sent his new jobs proposal to Congress on Monday with a plan to pay for the $447 billion package by raising taxes on the wealthy. Democracy Now! interviews MIT Professor Emeritus Noam Chomsky, who says "huge military spending, a very low taxes by the rich [and corporations] ... those are problems, fundamental problems that have to be dealt with if there is going to be anything like successful economic and social development in the United States." As Republican presidential candidate, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, calls Social Security a "ponzi scheme," and Democrats buy into the narrative that the program is in crisis, Chomsky notes that, "To worry about a possible problem 30 years from now, which can incidentally be fixed with a little bit of tampering here and there, as was done in 1983, to worry about that makes absolutely no sense unless you're trying to destroy the program." German jobless rate falls further

www.euronews.com Germany's jobless rate has fallen to its lowest since the reunification of East and West as unemployment dropped for a fifth consecutive month in March. Just 6.7 percent of the workforce is without a job according to official figures, adjusted for seasonal factors such as weather. That is in contrast to other eurozone countries, and will likely lead to higher wages boosting consumption in Europe's largest economy. The unadjusted rate -- which is the headline figure used in Germany -- fell to 7.2 percent from February's 7.4 percent. The data is good news for German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble whose budget plans are based on strong tax revenues. Find us on: Youtube bit.ly Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter twitter.com

UK jobless rate inches down

www.euronews.com Britain's unemployment rate fell slightly in the three months up to February to 8.3 percent of the workforce, bringing it down below a 16-year high. The number of people out of work decreased by 35000 to 2.65 million. The politically sensitive total of young people (16- to 24-year-olds) without a job fell to 1.033 million but still 22.2 percent of them are unemployed. The British Conservative Lib-Dem coalition government has been relying on private firms to create enough employment to make up for the estimated 700000 jobs it is cutting in the public sector. The layoffs are part of its austerity programme, aimed at erasing the country's massive budget deficit over the next five years. There have been signs of easier times ahead for job seekers. A survey by an organisation called the Recruitment and Employment Confederation showed last week that the number of vacancies in Britain rose in March at the fastest pace since last July. However, the UK labour market remains vulnerable as the economy struggles through a period of patchy recovery. Find us on: Youtube bit.ly Facebook www.facebook.com Twitter twitter.com

One of the first story's that they came up with was that most of the milk in California and in fact most of the country was contaminated with the artificial growth hormone Posilac. This is injected into cows so that they produce more milk and has been proven to be a cancer-causing growth hormone. The levels of coordination that they had to have, they had to get university professors into the fold, they had to get experts into the fold, they had to get reporters into the fold, they had to get the public into the fold and of course the FDA, lets not leave them out. They had to get the federal regulators convinced that this was a fine and safe product to get it onto the market place and they did that very very well" Posilac was rubber stamped by the Federal Government before they put it on the market place with the longest test done for toxicity being 90 days on 30 rats.
