Jewish Documentary - Full Film
JewishHistory.org Faith and Fate is a documentary telling the story of the Jews in the 20th Century. The first Episode is called, "The Dawn of the Century" and covers 1900 - 1910. This episode introduces the uniqueness of Jewish history in the 20th century within the context of world history. At the turn of the 20th century, Jews were scattered across the globe, representing only ¼ of one percent of the worlds population. It was a time of empires, imperial rule and colonial expansionism. In Russia the masses, including the Jews, lived in dire poverty which was compounded by grassroots antisemitism. In 1905 the Russian masses revolted and there was a general strike. On Bloody Sunday the Czar responded with force. The Czar did not abdicate until 1917, which is typically the date given for the second Russian Revolution, which, in turn, led to increased pogroms against the Jews. The pogroms and the economic conditions forced approximately 40% of Jewish population to leave the Russian Empire and go to Western countries including the United States and to Palestine and other countries as far away as South Africa and Australia. Emigration and the Enlightenment presented Jews with the dilemma and opportunity to maintain or reject their traditional Jewish upbringing, and many decided to forgo their traditional Judaism and blend in with their larger non-Jewish society. Within the traditional Jewish world, change was occurring as well, with the rise and acceptance of the Mussar ...

Zionism, the Holocaust, Israel's re-birth, Arab radicalization and the challenges facing Israel in the future will be examined in detail. Sherwin Wine: What's the Meaning of Jewish History?
Rabbi Sherwin Wine, founder of Humanistic Judaism, discusses the meaning of Jewish history, God, and mankind's responsibility in "moral" and "immoral" decisions. This response represents the proto- Humanistic Jewish answer to the meaning of Jewish history. That history does not show that the universe is ruled by an omnipotent and benevolent God, but rather that there is no conscious moral design of the universe. The only moral agenda is the Human one; only we can create a moral order in the world. Visit our website at citycongregation.org

Christianity A History "Jesus The Jew" 1/4
Leading British writer Howard Jacobson, a Jew himself, examines the origins and consequences of Christian belief. He argues that although Christianity originated in devout Judaism, for Jews it has been, for the most part, a calamity. Jacobson talks to Christian and Jewish scholars. He visits Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Galilee and Rome to find out more about Jesus the Jew, and discovers how key Christian beliefs - including the notion of a Messiah and baptism - have roots in Judaism. Furthermore, he asserts that Jesus didn't intend to start a new religion, and that for Jesus's family the new movement remained within Judaism: for them he was a charismatic Rabbi. Is Judaism Christianity's guilty secret?

No Jewish connection to Western Wall: PA university lecturer
A Palestinian Authority university lecturer is the latest PA academic to rewrite history and deny Jewish history in Jerusalem - in particular, the Jewish people's connection to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall) of the Jewish Temple. Shamekh Alawneh, a lecturer in modern history at Al-Quds Open University, says the Jews invented the connection to the Wall for political purposes, to convince European Jews and Zionists to come to "Palestine." "It has no historical roots," he said on a television program called Jerusalem - History and Culture. "This is political terminology to win the hearts and the support of the Zionists in Europe, so they would emigrate and come to Palestine. Nothing more!" The show's interviewer also refers to the "Judaization" of Jerusalem, and to Jewish plots to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Denying Jewish history in Jerusalem and the existence of the Jewish Temple is a central component of PA political ideology. This denial started with Yasser Arafat and continues to be reiterated by academics, politicians and religious leaders. PA leaders systematically distort the ancient history of Jerusalem, ignoring the vast historical documentation and thousands of archeological finds related to Jewish history that have been found in Jerusalem.

Belz And Satmar Reunite In Historic Meeting
Jerusalem - Jewish history was made last night as for the first time in over thirty years, the Belzer and Satmar Rebbes met in the home of the Belzer Rebbe in Telz Stone. The meeting, which took place at 12:50 AM Israel time, lasted over thirty minutes and hundreds of chasidim and onlookers waited outside to catch a historic glimpse of the heads of the two Chasidic sects, who are brothers in law, meeting together. The last several weeks have been spent ironing out the particulars of the meeting between. Telz Stone was sealed off completely today, with only residents permitted to enter the area and the Belzer Rebbe's house on Rechov Baal Shem Tov was surrounded by heavy security. The Satmar Rebbe, R' Aron Teitelbaum, who is in Israel for a wedding, was accompanied by three of his Gabbaim and traveled from Bnei Brak to Telz Stone in a caravan that totaled twenty five vehicles. The Belzer Rebbe who had been staying in Jerusalem for the past few weeks went to his apartment in Telz Stone specifically for this meeting and was accompanied by his son R' Aharon Mordechai Rookeach, R' Shimon Wolf Klein, R' Michel Firer, R' Pinchas Friedman, R' Mordechai Brisk, R' Mordechai Ringel, R' Zev Farkas and R' Aharon Fried. The two Chasidic leaders reportedly discussed customs of their respective Chasidic sects. The road to this monumental reconciliation was paved approximately one month ago when, as reported on VIN News, a delegation of Belzer dayanim paid a visit to the grave of the ...

Cherokee DNA from History Channel.wmv
The History Channel's recent documentary, Who Really Discovered America? asks some profound questions. Chief Joe Sitting Owl of the Central Band of Cherokee explains Cherokee oral history and tradition that they are from Jewish ancestry. Light skinned, the Cherokee don't look like most Native Americans of Asian ancestry. The Bat Creek stone, archaeologically removed from a Hopewell burial mound by the Smithsonian, has inscribed in ancient Hebrew the phrase "For Judea" or "For the Judeans." Only 3% of Chief Sitting Owls tribe had Jewish DNA, but 94% of those tested in the Central Band showed European DNA that goes back thousands of years. It is not widely known that haplogroup X is one of the 12 primary Jewish lineages, and is found in the Cherokee.
