Batiks, pigment dyes and ombre techniques incorporate all of the ethnic influences seen throughout the mens and womens collection. Metallic embellishments are displayed with warmer finishes giving a more antiqued look. Western and Safari stories are also seen throughout the womens collection in the guise of cotton plaid shirts and dresses, as well as the presence of snake, zebra and non-traditional leopard prints and abstract geometric prints, mixed with army green cargos and lightweight outerwear pieces. Denim is updated with leather trim back pockets, new stitching techniques and spray paint techniques that can be seen in a variety of styles including skinny jeans, jumpsuits, cuffed boyfriend jeans and shorts. Electronic Musician Jean-Jacques Perrey on "I've Got a Secret"
Electronic music pioneer Jean-Jacques Perrey appears on "I've Got a Secret" (November 21st, 1966) with host Steve Allen and panelists Betsy Palmer, Bill Cullen, Bess Myerson, and Henry Morgan. After several other musicians are introduced along with their instruments (violin, French horn, bagpipe, clarinet) we learn that Perrey's secret is "I play one instrument that can sound like all of these." After the game, that instrument is revealed to be the Ondioline, an early synthesizer-like keyboard instrument. He demonstrates that it can indeed mimic the sounds of the others and make unique sounds of its own. Perrey and his collaborator Gershon Kingsley, with whom he recorded the 1966 album "The In Sound from Way Out", then play one of their compositions.

Jean Spangler - Part 1 - Mysteries and Scandals (2001)
One of Hollywood's most obscure mysteries, Spangler's 1949 story was brought to the attention of producers by Kyle J. Wood (who had been a contributing consultant since the "Black Dahlia" episode in 1998). Initially reluctant to take on the subject because numerous interviews were lacking (many key players and family members were by then deceased, actor Kirk Douglas who wrote about her in his 1988 autobiography declined, etc.), Wood was eventually able to convince producers by providing a number of last minute leads which led to interviews with retired LAPD "Black Dahlia" detective Ralph Asdel (who worked Spangler's case), former Earl Carroll Theater showgirl (and Spangler friend) Betty Bedoin, and retired LAPD officer George O'Nan (who answered the call of Spangler's purse having been found). The episode aired : May 21, 2001 on E! Entertainment Television. Asdel passed away the following year. O'Nan died in 2009.

Requested by popular demand at the Heavy Gear Girls Forum, here is footage of Jean Grey wearing a spacesuit in the X-Men Animated Series Episode 303 Phoenix Saga Part 1 Sacrifice. Unfortunately, despite this episode being considered a classic by Heavy Gear Girl Experts, it has only one shot of Jean wearing the suit's helmet and the visor is down so you can't even see her face. Taking away any chance of having a scene where she is floating in space and her oxygen tube is severed. However, the episode makes up for it with Jean having to face knockout gas, almost getting sucked out of an airlock and of course, being transformed into the Phoenix.
Nowhere to Run
An escaped convict fights for his rights while hiding out from the law in this action drama. Sam Gillen (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a thief who, despite his criminal past, is an essentially decent man; he ended up behind bars after taking a murder rap for his partner. Sam escapes from prison in a daring jailbreak, and he hides out on a remote farm while on the run from police. A young boy named Mookie (Kieran Culkin) finds the fugitive and takes him in; it seems that the farm belongs to his mother Clydie (Roseanna Arquette), and soon Mookie and his sister Bree (Tiffany Taubman) have become friends with Sam, and Clydie and Sam fall in love. However, Franklin Hale (Joss Ackland), an unscrupulous land developer, wants to buy Clydie's farm and isn't taking no for an answer. When Hale's thug Dunston (Ted Levine) tries to use force to drive Clydie off her property, Sam is ready to fight fire with fire. Nowhere to Run was co-authored by noted screenwriter Joe Eszterhas; Richard Marquand received his story credit posthumously.
