Java Tutorial #3 - Making a simple Java program
This here is a video on how to make a program in Java. Nothing really special, just outputting some text onto the standard output device. But it also points out some of the key features of Java and it' saying it out loud, it's an object-oriented programming language. What's that suppose to mean? Well a language like Java takes everything as objects and these objects are just clusters of data that have some kind of a function associated with it. One of the key things to notice here is the MAIN function without which the program will never start. Most important of all, you dump all of your code inside something called a class aka a blueprint. Can't get it? We'll talk about it later on.

DEFCON 15: Fingerprinting and Cracking Java Obfuscated Code
Speaker: Subere The process of obfuscating intermediate platform independent code, such as Java bytecode or Common Intermediate Language (CIL) code aims to make the source code generated by reverse engineering much less useful to an attacker or competitor. This talk focuses on the examination of fingerprinting particular obfuscators and provides a tool capable of cracking key obfuscation processes performed. As more programming languages use intermediate platform techniques on compiled code, the vision behind this talk is to further provide a methodology in reversing obfuscated applications. The demonstration of the tool developed on a number of cases will show how such a methodology can be put in place for cracking obfuscation techniques.
