Jacko comes from a small town called Savros. He's 23 years old and he lives together with his parents among pigs and ducks in an old farmyard. His big passion in life is fashion, and most of the day he spends in the cellar admiring his face and body in front of a mirror. He is obsessed with brands and knows every slogan in the world. One day he decides to make his dream come true. He leaves his parents and goes to Berlin to seek his fortune. Now life is beginning! Jacko is going to become a supermodel, "a model of the world".

SHOT PUT Jacko GILL 20,01m 7,26kg World rec 23-04-2011 Auckland.m4v
World junior shot put champion Jacko GILL has made history again in the shot put . After being the youngest ever world junior champion at age 15 and 7 months and 20,76m with 6kg , then throwing a world youth record with the 5kg at 23,86m 5 months later. He is now 9 months only after his world title , the 1st 16 and 17 years old to throw the senior 7kg implement officially over 20m . With 19,98m and 20,01m at 16y and 4 months and a body weight of only 96kg he is probably now the most incredible young thrower the world has ever seen with a technique and training based on speed and reactive strength. Jacko has also achieved the Daegu World senior champs B qualification ... but so far cannot compete there because he is ... too young ! If he would be a sprinter or a jumper , he would be eligible , but throwers are not for some mysterious and stupid reasons (????) Hopefully the NZ federation will ask the IAAF for a possible exemption . The world championship should be open to the best athletes whatever their age . Anyways Jacko is already looking toward London 2012 and who knows what can happen with 16 more months to go !!!

A unique document by Didier POPPE and this will be probably one of the most interesting videos of this web site for coaches and athletes interested by the rotational shot put and who want to know why the young Jacko GILL is so good . Of course he does not have a perfect technique (who has ?) and his start and torque could be improved (He is working on it) , BUT, his technique is very well suited to his athletics specificity and the expert eyes will soon pick the datas which make the difference during the building momentum , transfer and delivery phases with a minimal suspension time , super fast right left landings , and acceleration in the throwing path. Of course , the video document quality and Dartfish software used for this analysis are not perfect and subject to some error margin , but it does not change anything on the conclusions one can draw out of this document and the specificity of this incredible thrower who is destroying not only world records but also many commonly accepted "clichés" that people have on the shot put high performance approach.

The 19-year-old landed a perfect front flip his opening run, the first in the history of X Games 17, earning a 95.64 score from the judging panel. This is a dream come true, to me it is like winning a gold medal at the Olympics," said Strong Wachin. Strong's successful landing of the front flip is a first for any competition in the world. Jacko GILL crazy week end at the New Zealand North Island school champs in Wellington (20/21 march 2010) with 100m sprint series and final, Discus 1,25kg (2 NZL school records and a best of 61,80m) , Shot put 5kg (2 NZL school records , 1 NZAAA M16 record and best 2010 world -17 performance 20,85m ) with an exceptional serie of 5 throws over 20m , Relay 4x100m and javelin 700g (not so good only 39,97m) !
