Tintoretto _ Italian Renaissance Painter
Tintoretto (real name Jacopo Comin; September 29, 1518 May 31, 1594) was one of the greatest painters of the Venetian school and probably the last great painter of the Italian Renaissance. For his phenomenal energy in painting he was termed Il Furioso, and his dramatic use of perspectival space and special lighting effects make him a precursor of baroque art. Italian Renaissance Dance Steps, Part 1
How to do some of the steps used in 16th century Italian dance books, such as Il Ballarino (available here: www.pbm.com ). Steps included: Riverenza, Continenza, Trabucchetto, Ripresa, "The Sequence" (ripresa, ripresa, trab, trab), Passo, Seguito ordinario, "Pavan Sequence" (passo, passo, ordinario), Puntata, Spezzato, Scorsi. I've been teaching dances in the SCA for a long time, but I'm very new to video editing. I would appreciate any comments or suggestion for how to improve this. I hope to make a series of videos with more steps, as well as instructions for specific dances.

The Italian Renaissance Prt 1
A film about a group of students who take drugs and go back in time to the Italian Renaissance! My first film of high school and also our first attempt at "green-screening" or more like "white-walling." Could you believe the entire film was practically shot in front of a single white wall in my room? Mind boggling I know. Did I mention there's a light saber dual for no reason at all? Enjoy.
Northern Renaissance ( documentary )
More Videos: gekos.no The Northern Renaissance is the term used to describe the Renaissance in northern Europe, or more broadly in Europe outside Italy. Before 1450 Italian Renaissance humanism had little influence outside Italy. From the late 15th century the ideas spread around Europe. This influenced the German Renaissance, French Renaissance, English Renaissance, Renaissance in the Netherlands, Polish Renaissance and other national and localized movements, each with different characteristics and strengths. In France, King Francis I imported Italian art, commissioned Italian artists (including Leonardo da Vinci), and built grand palaces at great expense, starting the French Renaissance. Trade and commerce in cities like Bruges in the 15th century and Antwerp in the 16th increased cultural exchange between Italy and the Low Countries, however in art, and especially architecture, late Gothic influences remained present until the arrival of Baroque even as painters increasingly drew on Italian models.[1] Universities and the printed book helped spread the spirit of the age through France, the Low Countries and the Holy Roman Empire, and then to Scandinavia and finally Britain by the late 16th century. Writers and humanists such as Rabelais, Pierre de Ronsard and Desiderius Erasmus were greatly influenced by the Italian Renaissance model and were part of the same intellectual movement. During the English Renaissance (which overlapped with the Elizabethan era) writers such ...

The Art of Michelangelo - Pietà
Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni[1] (March 6, 1475 February 18, 1564), commonly known as Michelangelo, was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect, poet, and engineer. Despite making few forays beyond the arts, his versatility in the disciplines he took up was of such a high order that he is often considered a contender for the title of the archetypal Renaissance man, along with his rival and fellow Italian Leonardo da Vinci. Michelangelo's output in every field during his long life was prodigious; when the sheer volume of correspondence, sketches, and reminiscences that survive is also taken into account, he is the best-documented artist of the 16th century. Two of his best-known works, the Pietà and David, were sculpted before he turned thirty. Despite his low opinion of painting, Michelangelo also created two of the most influential works in fresco in the history of Western art: the scenes from Genesis on the ceiling and The Last Judgment on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. As an architect, Michelangelo pioneered the Mannerist style at the Laurentian Library. At 74 he succeeded Antonio da Sangallo the Younger as the architect of Saint Peter's Basilica. Michelangelo transformed the plan, the western end being finished to Michelangelo's design, the dome being completed after his death with some modification. In a demonstration of Michelangelo's unique standing, he was the first Western artist whose biography was published while he was ...
