Inflation
Most economists agree that inflation of about 2% or 3% annually is a natural function of a growing economy. But people are worried government stimulus measures could spark much higher inflation. Senior Editor Paddy Hirsch explains.

Crash Course: Chapter 10 - Inflation by Chris Martenson
Chapter 10 (Inflation): Dr. Martenson establishes inflation as a monetary phenomenon, defined as the decrease of the value of money, caused by too much money around in relation to goods and services. From 1665 to 1776, 111 years, there was absolutely no inflation. From 1665 to 1905, 240 years, the cost of living stayed roughly the same, aside from brief jumps during wars. Unfortunately for us, there was no settling in terms of inflation after World War I or World War II. The military apparatus was not dismantled, and inflation has accelerated to astonishingly high levels. www.chrismartenson.com

Inflation Suit - Popping Buttons
My long awaited third video is now avaliable for viewing :) Basically its a short video of me popping buttons off of this blouse. While it looks really cool, its unfortunately not realistic. Before taking the video I tried several times to pop the buttons off as they were, but they were rather strong. The solution ended up being to cut them off and resew them for the desired effect. Still looks good though, right?

Daniel Amerman, Alternatives to Protecting Wealth from Inflation
www.futuremoneytrends.com Interesting interview for those of us who believe we are going to see radical inflation over the coming years. http Daniel R. Amerman is a Chartered Financial Analyst with MBA and BSBA degrees in finance. He is a financial author and speaker with over 25 years of professional experience. Years of studying the costs of paying for over $100 trillion of US government retirement promises, as well as the costs of cashing out an expected $44 trillion of Boomer pensions and retirement accounts, have convinced him that too many promises and too much paper wealth chasing too few real resources will likely lead to substantial inflation in the years ahead, with potentially devastating implications for many savers and investors. A problem that will also apply to many other nations.

Central Bank Bubble-Blowers and the Rehypothecation Inflation-Nation!!
Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke was on Capitol Hill today delivering his report card, talking economic forecasts and headwinds while defending the Fed's "accommodative monetary policy." Speaking of report cards, we look at how even the failing marks of central bankers and other economic decision makers get glossed over by the mainstream media and ultimately forgotten by the public. Top on our list, of course, is CNBC which is basically a PR machine for the big banks on wall street, let's not forget. Is it this PR machine what has allowed even former Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan to emerge from the financial crisis relatively unscathed after he largely contributed to it with his reckless interest rate policies and serial bubble blowing that earned him the nickname Alan "Bubbles" Greenspan? We interview Danny Schechter, the news dissector (also author and filmmaker), to get his take on this. He bumped into Alan Greenspan recently, and wrote an article on the Rand Man and his legacy as deregulator in chief. Meanwhile, Greek credit default swaps will not pay out...again! What's going on here? Last time we had a major credit event, it led to the collapse and then zombification of AIG as a conduit for bailing out the likes of Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, etc. Are the issuers on the hook this time around, and this is just the ISDA working on behalf of them against the speculator hedge funds and other people with net short ...

Max Yemets--More On Living Through Hyper-Inflation & Buying Gold and Silver--12.Apr.2012
www.financialsurvivalnetwork.com presents: Max Yemets was back on talking more about hyper-inflation and how debts get destroyed. He told the story of how his father took out a loan to purchase a bicycle back in post-Soviet controlled Ukraine. It was a large loan by their standards; but when hyper-inflation hit, his father was able to repay the loan for virtually nothing. There's something instructive about this scenario, and history could very well repeat itself. Imagine having a large mortgage that you get to pay back in greatly depreciated dollars. Max believes that if you aren't buying metals now, you should be! He suggests starting out small with pre-1965, US, 90% silver coins. Buy a few Quarters for around $6 each. Pretty soon, you'll just intuitively understand what real money is all about, and you'll know exactly what to do. Go to www.FinancialSurvivalNetwork.com for the latest info on the Economy, Markets and Precious Metals.

ECB verses Fed, Super Committee, inflation
"When referencing the automatic spending "cuts" scheduled to be enacted if the super committee fails to come up with an alternative, I inadvertently said 1.2 billion rather than 1.2 trillion. The numbers are just so large its hard to keep track. The amazing thing though is that 1.2 trillion over 10 years is so small that its like using a Dixie cup to bail water from a sinking ocean liner.". How Long Will The Inflation Rally Last?
Nearly everyday the major stock indexes rally higher after an early morning dip. This phenomenon has taken place almost on a daily basis since December 19, 2012. This morning, the US Dollar Index futures (DX H2) are trading higher to start the day. Usually, when the US Dollar Index is higher before the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange it will sell off or decline after the open. Any sell off in the US Dollar Index helps to lift all of the major stock indexes. Traders that are not aware of this pattern can easily go back and look at an intra-day chart over past two months and see this occur. Traders that do not have a chart of the US Dollar Index can use the PowerShares DB US Dollar Index Bullish (NYSEARCA:UUP).
