Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Adapted from the hit off-Broadway musical of the same name, Hedwig and the Angry Inch is the tale of an "internationally ignored" rock & roll singer who hails from Communist Berlin and who dreams of becoming an American sensation. Hedwig (John Cameron Mitchell), born a boy named Hansel, is raised by a single mother (Alberta Watson) who wishes to see her son do better than his poverty-stricken family. Some years later, Hansel is attracted to a good-looking American GI, who promises a better life overseas for young Hansel, under one condition: that he undergo a sex-change operation to become a fully functional female whom he can then marry. The operation is seriously botched, leaving the now-renamed Hedwig with an "angry inch" only to be stranded in a dingy Kansas trailer park on the day the Berlin Wall comes tumbling down. Hedwig then supports herself through a series of ill-fated lounge gigs and side jobs, meeting up with 16-year-old Tommy Gnosis (Michael Pitt), a religious type who befriends her and later steals her songs and becomes the rock star Hedwig always dreamed of being. Undeterred, Hedwig continues to perform in the shadow of Tommy's sold-out stadium tour, attempting to make herself whole in spirit, if not physically. The film features several songs by composer Stephen Trask, who also appears as a member of Hedwig's disinterested rock band; Miriam Shor portrays Hedwig's newfound love and backup singer.

I just basically "cheated" by copying and pasting portions of the video. Making them overlap so the video fit the audio. The quick edit. I decided not to do that this time. I challenged myself by stretching or editing minute parts of the video, making everything fit and nothing overlapping. Not very easy. It would be if I didn't have to match the dubbing. Hard stuff. Plus I have always hated the audio. I used the default program that came with Windows to make that video. So it sounded bad to me. While it's different in some ways compared to the first. I made sure this was converted to 1080p and has the 5.1 digital audio. If you have the set-up, comment on how it sounds. As for the "pop" you hear when the video starts, that's all YouTube. Enjoy. This Australian release does not have a halo number, making it the only commercially-available Nine Inch Nails CD released with that distinction. (The Capital G single was released to Europe as a non-halo'ed 9" vinyl in June of 2007.) However, a two-track promotional CD for "Into the Void", released only in the United States, was incorrectly identified as Halo Sixteen. Because it was not a halo release and was only sold in Australia, it is considered a rare release for NIN memorabilia collectors. The version of "The Perfect Drug" included on this single is slightly longer than the one released on the Lost Highway soundtrack. It fades out at the end instead of ending abruptly. It is the same version found on the We're In This Together PT. 3 single. This track and all of the other tracks on this disc can be found on other halos. A music video for the song was directed by Walter Stern and Jeff Richter. An alternate version of the video was later released. The video begins with a series of macrophotographic close-ups of Trent Reznor, including his eyes, hair, and mouth. The video concludes with the Nine Inch Nails band performing the song in a red room and eventually destroying their equipment and the set itself.
