Acoustic hotel room session IIX: Neon Hero (Christian Burns & Eller van Buuren)

This song isn't even out yet (probably July 2011), and Christian Burns and Eller van Buuren have already done an acoustic hotel room session of the song "Neon Hero". They both know how to play it, because they both play on the original. Christian is the vocalist, whilst Eller plays with his band Bagga Bownz on Armin van Buuren's new song, too. This song is number 8 of the Mirage acoustic hotel room sessions. About 40 crew and artists are on the "Armin Only" world tour since 2010 and in every country Eller plays with the artists a song, most of the times unprepared and unrehearsed. Goal: to transform a pumping dance track into a sweet acoustic song. Playing around with Fairlight IIx and Mirage samples

Just a song I did consisting of Ensoniq Mirage and Fairlight IIx samples. The strings, piano, and pizz are from the Mirage (played from an Oberheim DPX-1). The Fairlight consists of the Arr1 sample, and a String sample at the end, as well is a sample of my voice played through the Akai s5000. The Drums are sample from a Linn LM-2. As far as the video its just me laying down the Fairlight track, some of what you hear is from the recording, some of it I redid (you'll see when the video goes out of sync). Nothing really to look at, but I thought the music would be interesting for those wanting to hear those old samplers sounds in action. The Casio I used to midi to the Akai s5000 was just for conveience sake, I do have better synths...Enjoy, let me know what you think of the track...

otakuxgamer.com NCSX's description: In the original DeathSmiles, the heroines Windia, Caspar, Rosa, and Follet were teenagers who were accompanied by invincible familiars. In the sequel, the girls have devolved and they're no longer teens. They're now "tweens" which accentuates the lolita-gothic theme of the game with a younger-looking cast of immaculately garbed and coiffed junior maidens. Similar to the first DeathSmiles, the sequel is a horizontal shooter where players fire shots to the right, fire shots to the left, and drop the occasional bomb blast. A lock-shot is also available by pressing the "A" and "B" shot buttons together to lock onto enemies. In the coin-op version, DeathSmiles II featured a cast of four characters with Windia and Caspar returning to reprise their roles. They're joined by a lad named Lei with an identity crisis. Although Lei's a male, he nevertheless dresses up like a maid and appears to be wearing eyeliner. The fourth character is a youngling named Supe (Soupy) who looks like a baby munchkin just emerging from her swaddling clothes. The Xbox 360 conversion improves on the coin-op original by adding Rosa and Follet as playable characters. The 360 game also includes two new stages for a total of 7 to plow through and attendant bosses who guard the new stages. DeathSmiles 2 is designed with 3D in mind so the stages, enemies, and bosses are rendered 3D models which may be off-putting to some 2D shmup purists.
