So I decided too relax in my house and as I did I accidentally knocked on this track. "Fly Too High" (1979) was her contribution to the soundtrack of the Jodie Foster film Foxes. It earned her a Grammy nomination and became a hit single in many countries, including South Africa. At the age of fifteen, Ian wrote and sang her first hit single, "Society's Child (Baby I've Been Thinking)," about an interracial romance forbidden by a girl's mother and frowned upon by her peers and teachers; the girl ultimately decides to end the relationship, claiming the societal norms of the day have left her no other choice. Produced by melodrama specialist George "Shadow" Morton and released three times between 1965 and 1967, "Society's Child" finally became a national hit the third time it was released, after Leonard Bernstein featured it in a TV special titled Inside Pop: The Rock Revolution.[2] The song's lyrical content was too taboo for some radio stations, and they withdrew or banned it from their playlists accordingly. In the summer of 1967, "Society's Child" reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Apparently "Society's Child" was too hot for Atlantic Records as well at the time. Ian relates on her website that although the song was originally intended for Atlantic and the label paid for her recording session, the label subsequently returned the master to her and quietly refused to release it. Years later, Ian says, Atlantic's president at the time, Jerry Wexler, publicly apologized ...

Ian Siegal & MIssissippi Mudbloods
Ian and the Mudbloods play the Belgium Rhythm & Blues Festival 2011. The Mudbloods is an occasional project through which Ian and musicians from Mississippi and Tennessee collaborate. This line up features the Dickinson brothers, Cody (on drums) and Luther (guitar), better known as the North Mississippi Allstars, and was specially formed for two shows - in London and Belgium, July 15 and 16. To explain this movie, it follows the band (Ian, Cody, Andy and Paddy) from London via Brussels to Peer in Belgium, where they meet up with Luther Dickinson. Luther happened to be playing the festival on the same day with headliners, The Black Crowes, so a perfect opportunity to join Ian and his brother. All the songs in the show are from Ian's albums - the 2011 CD 'The Skinny' (produced by Cody Dickinson) and 2009's 'Broadside' (produced by Matt Schofield). The BRBF in Peer is one of Ian's favourite festivals. It's compact, very well run and always has great blues and R&B artists. Ian is privileged to have played the festival four times.

Death of Ian Tomlinson 1 year on - Bill Maloney Reports
Award winning film director Bill Maloney and his courageous camera woman Lilly Starr join the grieving family of Ian Tomlinson to pay their respects on the anniversary of his death. Ian Tomlinson was innocently making his way home from work through the G20 protests in London on 1 April 2009. Videos and CCTV footage showed an unprovoked assault on Mr Tomlinson by a police officer striking him from behind with a baton then proceeding to thrust him, also from behind pushing him with force to the ground. The police made no attempt to help Mr Tomlinson. He died shortly afterwards on the pavement in the street. Bill Maloney exposes the fear that Ian's family have of speaking out against the Establishment, this is corroborated by Ian Tomlinson's son 'Paul' in this video. Interviews are held with supporters: Anna Bragga (The Green Party), Raj Ullah (Brother of vicitm Habib 'Paps' Ullah) and Paul King, Son of Ian Tomlinson bringing this tragic story up to date. ***CONTENT WARNING-DONT PLAY THIS AROUND LITTLE EARS! LOL*** Eminem has always been my favorite rapper. I think he's brilliant from his flow to his rhyme scheme to his emotion. Everything. It's all perfect to me...because he's original...and he dares to go where most people are afraid to go because they're afraid they can't say something a certain way. Eminem has been a huge inspiration to me in that way because i've never been afraid to move how I want move. Personally...I have a mechanism in my system...that has always shielded and changed my hurt or sad feelings into pretty intense anger and frustration. Eminem and his music has ALWAYS been there for me, ever since I was a little kid...he's always the first thing I'd play when i got mad...but I never wanted to choreograph to his music because it was hard and I wanted it to feel perfect and feel real. Unfortunately I've been experiencing a lot of pain from people (people i looked at as friends) letting me down, taking from me, or biting over the past few months and it has really hurt and made me angry. This is one of my favorite songs from Maddy Prior's 1978 solo album, "Woman In The Wings". The project not only had the distinction of featuring members of Jethro Tull as studio musicians, it was also supervised by Tull frontman, Ian Anderson. Ian, along with Martin Barre, John Glascock, Barriemore Barlow & David Palmer were each featured on individual tracks, evidently not wishing to have Maddy's album sound as if Tull had assembled as her back-up band. Even Ian's wife, Shona, sang backing vocals on one song, and the entire production was engineered by long-time Tull recording tech wizard, Robin Black. I'm Dana Ward and today we're filling you in on the practical joke that Ian Somerhalder played on co-star and girlfriend, Nina Dobrev. Apparently, it surrounds the season-3 opener which the vampire star said had him literally naked for almost 2 days of production. Ian told EW that as he was getting ready to shoot the first scene which starts with a reaction shot of Nina -- ya know, from Elena seeing a completely nude Damon -- the first assistant director suggested that he head on down to the prop department. The star of The Vampire Diaries went on to describe how the team used double-stick tape to attach newly-made elephant ears to his inner thighs to seemingly create an elephant with Ian's body. Use your imagination, people! Apparently, Nina's real-life reaction was a very natural "OMG" and Ian said that he hopes and prays that they use that initial expression in the episode final cut.
