"Human Nature" is a single released by Michael Jackson, and is the fifth of seven singles released from his 1982 hit album Thriller. It was written by Toto member Steve Porcaro, with the lyrics provided by John Bettis. The song reached number seven on the Billboard Hot 100, but was not as big an international hit as his previous songs.

Although not released in the UK, the song achieved moderate chart success in the US. Reaching number two on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary chart and number seven on the Hot 100, the song became Jackson's fifth Top 10 hit from Thriller. In New Zealand the single reached number 11. The ballad garnered many positive reviews from music critics.
