Hulk (Trailer 2003)
Bruce Banner (Eric Bana), a brilliant scientist with a cloudy past about his family, is involved in an accident in his laboratory causing him to become exposed to gamma radiation and Nanomeds (A tiny life-form that is supposed to heal wounds but has killed everything with which they have made contact.) Confused and curious about his survival, Banner discovers that since the accident, whenever he becomes angry he transforms into a giant green monster destroying everything in sight in an act of fury. Bruce's mysterious past and the answer to why the radiation had this effect becomes revealed to him as his Birth Father David Banner (Nick Nolte) intervenes with hopes to continue experimenting on him.

This is a continuation of the Intro scene I made six months ago. Hulk and Superman are in the desert and the fight begins. This is a work in progress and there is more battle scenes to come, this is just the first part. There will probably be two or three sequences to follow this, but I'm doing it in parts because it takes forever to get it done and I want share as it's being completed. This is the second part to my ongoing animation project, a tribute project to Superman and The Incredible Hulk. As you'll notice, the models and overall look has evolved and will continue to do so in future sequences. I'm already working on a new look for the Hulk on the next one. I got professional help this time in the music and sound design department, provided by the talented Francois Gratecap, which has made the whole project that much better. So my thanks to him. Disclaimer : This is not affilliated with Marvel or DC and is just my interpretation on how a fight between these two fictional characters could potentially go down. I'm not basing it on any previous materials such as the comics in which they appear. In this, their powers are not infinite as may have been depicted before. Also, I consider this a work in progress experiment, I'm learning animation as I go so this is far from a polished and finished piece. I welcome all comments but please keep that in mind when commenting. About the project specs : Created on an Intel i7-990X hex core 24 GB RAM, and and i7-920 quad core 12 GB RAM. It took about eight months to do the animation. The models and character puppets have been a work in progress for years prior though. Autodesk Maya is used for the all 3d modeling, animation, hair and cloth simulation. Z brush is used a bit for additional high detail model sculpting of the characters. These two have a lot in common and the most notable is their size. They each possess superhuman strength, speed, stamina and durability. Both were born normal men and were changed into their respective forms due to accidents with Bruce Banner becoming the Hulk due to gamma radiation and Ben Grimm becoming the Thing from exposure of cosmic radiation. Despite these similarities, there is one notable difference between these two. While Banner changes into the monstrous Hulk when angered and spends most of his life in human form, Grimm's tranformation into the Thing is a permanent.
