For a closer shave, contort your mouth as needed. Step 2: Fill sink Fill your sink or basin halfway with warm water. Step 3: Wet a washcloth Wet a washcloth with the warm water and hold it to your face for a few minutes to soften the hair and open up your skin's pores. Straight razor shave

My typical straight razor shave routine, in ~5:30 about as fast as I can go. I divide to 3 attacks; - below jawline - above jawline outside mustache/chin - mustache/chin I use 3 passes; #1 - with growth pattern (imagine vertical line bisecting face in half, hair growth moves away from that line at 45-degrees near sides of face and smaller angles near the middle of face). #2 - across growth pattern. I skip this for below jawline area, as results are excellent w/o it. #3 - against grain pattern (careful with this one!) Not blessed with surgeon's steady hands, to maximize control I often use my 'off hand' to hold razor's tip or to cantilever against the razor's handle. THE "CORRECT" TECHNIQUE IS THE ONE THAT YIELDS YOUR BEST RESULTS. It is sometimes referred to as the lamb cut or Cocker style haircut with a teddy bear face, fluffy legs, & long tail. The top knot can be left long or trimmed short for the look your wanting with your dog.
