How to Build Hover Shoes
In this episode we show you how to create your own pair of Hover shoes which will allow you to "float" over any predominantly metal base. In the video we use the garage since it has metal beams embedded in the concrete but you could do this wherever you find a strong metal flooring. You need: 1. Soldering Iron 2. Solder 3. Wire 4. Shoes 5. 50 lb lift magnets 6. 2 9v batteries 7. Glue Gun The 9v battery will turn the standard magnet into an electro-magnet giving it more lift for a small duration of time. Missile defense multiple kill vehicle hover test
US Missile Defense Agency video of the 2 December 2008 free-flight hover test of Lockheed Martin's Multiple Kill Vehicle (MKV-L). The MKV is designed to allow a single interceptor to destroy a ballistic missile equipped with multiple warheads or countermeasures. In Lockheed's design, a seeker-equipped carrier vehicle maneuvers into the path of the ballistic missile then dispenses and guides small kill vehicles to their targets. In its first test, the MKV-L hovered for 20 seconds in a special facility at Edwards AFB, California, while recognizing and tracking a simulated target.

John Farley, explains, in detail, how the Harrier takes of vertically and maintains control whilst in the hover. My real hovering Hoverboard display
This is a display I put together using my prop hoverboard and an electromagnetic kit with laser stabilization technology. Its still a work in progress and a better display will be built to hide the electronics. The board can support up to 5 pounds in weight, so items can be placed on top of the board and still hover. First Flying Platform - 1955 Hover Board
Flying Platform. US Navy demonstrates its Flying Platform in 1955, a "flying skateboard" or "hover board" vehicle that uses a direct lift rotor aircraft, using contra-rotating ducted fans controlled by the pilot shifting his body weight around to tilt the platform. Although it looked like it could have been a massive development [and a great way for us to beat the traffic to work] sadly development ceased because the US Army judged them to be impractical as combat vehicles as they were small, limited in speed and only barely flew out of the ground cushion effect.

This lengthy hover flight of Xaero was intended to test our new closed loop controller across Xaero's entire weight regime. Additionally, the modified algorithms were further validated in the presence of high winds, as shown by the fluttering of the tether. The new controller performed beautifully, rendering the flight a total success.
