The Horde - US Trailer [HD]
One of the best Zombie movies you'll see. Think Resident Evil meets Mesrine. A posse of crooked cops, malevolent gangsters and a horde of walking dead are the centre point of this gruesome, tight, action packed, claustrophobic tale of retribution and escape. We all know that zombie movies make great horror. We also know that the French make great horror. But what happens when you get a French zombie movie? You get The Horde, slated for release August 29. The eternal battle between police and criminal, already dramatized in several different movies, gets a whole new wrinkle when Zombie Apocalypse lands on their heads. Check out the trailer. I'm not sure how this could be a bad thing--between the sheer amount of punch the trailer packed in, the track record of French horror, and the sheer fun of a zombie movie, it's hard to imagine how this couldn't turn out well. Ingame footage of "Level 90 Elite Tauren Chieftain" (dinged to a normal name again at Blizzcon 2011) performing their old -but oh so famous- song "Power of the Horde" just outside Shattrath. An event only available for about a week, during BlizzCon 2007. Nowadays, L90ETC perform their famous song "Power of the Horde" in the World's End Tavern in Shattrath City every three hours on the hour, eight shows per day. Several minutes prior to their show, "Shattrath Saul" will yell that the Tauren Chieftains will be performing. Lore For Noobs - The Horde (Part 1)
The Horde began on the peaceful planet of Draenor when the Shaman Ner'zhul was contacted by what he thought was a peaceful spirit. This "spirit" went by the name Kil'jaeden. Kil'jaeden told him lies about the power of warlock magics and convinced him to abandon shamanism. Word quickly spread about this new form of magic Ner'zhul could wield and others soon followed in his footsteps and also became warlocks. Ner'zhul began to form all the tribes into one single tribe known as the Horde. The Horde then began to wage war against the peaceful and elusive Draenei while under the guidance of Kil'jaeden. Ner'zhul, disgusted at what was happening to his people and he turned his back on the archdemon. But it was far to late to reverse the damage he had done and his apprentice, Gul'dan, eagerly filled in the place that his mentor had left behind. Gul'dan soon realized that when it came to public relations, he was useless. To make up for this, Gul'dan chose a puppet to run the Horde. Someone who was well respected but easily manipulatable. This man was Blackhand, chieftain of the Blackrock tribe. Gul'dan manipulated the orcs to make Blackhand their warchief. The Horde quickly destroyed the Draenei and were left on Draenor with nothing to wage war on. The tribes began to fight amongst themselves and Gul'dan thought all his work would be put to waste and the Horde would be destroyed. This was until he was contacted by Medivh.

During the later parts of the war against Stormwind (which would later be referred to as the first war.), there was a slight change of leadership within the Horde. At the start of the First War, the apprentice of the Magus Medivh, Khadgar, and the orcish emissary Garona, had found out that Medivh played a major role in the Orcs invading Azeroth. The two went to confront Medivh about his evil schemes, along with Anduin Lothar, The Lion of Azeroth, the talks then turned violent but the three were able to miraculously defeat Medivh, when khadgar stabbed him in the gut. Though Khadgar was turned into an old man by Medivh's twisted magic. Gul'dan, unfortunately for him, choose to communicate with the Guardian at the moment he died, thus resulting in Gul'dan ending up in an unshakable coma. With Gul'dan out of the way Orgrim Doomhammer, a warrior of Blackhand's Blackrock Clan, (thats's a mouth full) challenged Blackhand, totally owned him and took control of both the clan and the Horde. Doomhammer later sought out the warlocks of Gul'dan's shadow council, and slaughtered every last one of them, except for Gul'dan who was defenseless in a coma and his apprentice, the two headed ogre-magi, Cho'gall. Orgrim Doomhammer, the new Warchief of the Horde, took over where Blackhand had been forced to end. After defeating the humans of Stormwind, whom then fled north, Orgrim followed and came across the mountains of Khaz Modan. There, he met the dwarves and also defeated them, but the ...

The first Orc to hold the title of Warchief since the beginning of the orcish civil wars on Draenor, was the chieftain of the Shadowmoon Clan, the great shaman known as Ner'zhul. Ner'zhul was tricked into uniting the orcs of Draenor, into a single force by the demon lord, Kil'jaeden the Deceiver, who then later relieved Ner'zhul of his power and made sure Ner'zhul couldn't do anything to ruin the demon's plans for the newly formed Horde. Blackhand, Chieftain of the Blackrock Clan was given the title, by the orc warlock Gul'dan, Kil'jaeden's new servant, and former apprentice of Ner'zhul. Gul'dan needed a puppet, knowing he wasnt good enough with people to be Warchief himself, but still wanting to have control in secret, working with his Shadow Council to make sure Kil'jaeden as well as his own plans succeeded. Blackhand's rule though, was short lived. The mighty warrior, Orgrim Doomhammer, who also was a part of the Blackrock Clan, found out just exactly what Blackhand and Gul'dan were up to, and didn't like it one bit. Orgrim Doomhammer took up his mighty Banhammer, and slew Blackhand, and after that he found the Shadow Council and slaughtered them too, leaving only Gul'dan alive. Orgrim Doomhammer had taken control of the Horde, and lead them through the Eastern Kingdoms, conquering most of the south. When Orgrim's army landed on the beaches of Lordaeron, they were met by the forces of the newly formed Alliance of Lordaeron. This Alliance was founded by Anduin Lothar, who had landed in Southshore with the survivors of Stormwind. Lothar had then made his way to Capital City, to warn King Terenas Menethil the II of the Orcish threat. Terenas then called in a meeting of all the seven human kings and after much bickering, especially from Genn Greymane's side, the kings united their armies under one banner and one leader, Anduin Lothar. But the Orcs did have one surprise. After Gul'dan woke up from his coma, he was met with the most horrible fate he could possibly imagine. A fate so horrible to him, that he could only imagine the terror in his most vicious and unforgiving nightmares. No power. Orgrim Doomhammer being the one making sure of it, keeping an eye on the orc warlock, and his apprentice Cho'gall, at all times, for the last thing he wanted was Gul'dan stealing his power from right underneath him, and finding yet another puppet to lead the Horde into dishonor. Gul'dan was then escorted by Cho'gall to Doomhammer's throne where his fate would be decided. Gul'dan begged and groveled before Doomhammer, something he quickly realized, wouldn't work. So Gul'dan tried another tactic and offered Orgrim a new kind of soldier, more powerful than any of the great warriors among the orcish ranks, in exchange for his life, to which Doomhammer reluctantly agreed. This episode is slightly shorter than most, and we understand we have had complaints about that in the past, but when you see the next episode you will appreciate why we stopped where we did. I promise Part 6 will be the greatest L4N episode -ever- ... unless you're a Horde fanboy... Doomhammer made a deal with the coward Human King Aiden Perenolde. Orgrim would allow Alterac to survive if his army would be allowed to pass through safely and head on a straight path towards Capital City. Such betrayal could doom all of mankind, but Perenolde didn't care. He was greedy and didn't fully support the Alliance from the beginning anyway. But before they could get there, Orgrim had to fulfill a promise he had made to Zul'jin, leader of the forest trolls. This deal was that Zul'jin would send his troops to fight alongside the Horde if Orgrim would help them take down The High Elves of Quel'thalas. The trolls had a long hatred of the elves and it was their dream to slaughter them all. This dream finally had a chance to come true. Orgrim's army charged in with a blaze of glory and began to kick ass and take names... until the Elves knew they were there and Sylvanas and Alleria windrunner started going all John J. Keeshan on their green skinned asses, pushing the Horde back and forcing them to make their way towards Capital City through Alterac. The war had finally began to turn in The Alliance's favor, and they weren't just going to let the Horde escape back to Blackrock Mountain to rebuild their army and attack again, not at all. They were going to hunt them down to the end of the world. Literally. Anduin Lothar began to chase Doomhammer all the way back to their main base. The Alliance's army was that of a bull dozer taking down every Horde outpost they passed by, most importantly the one right outside of a little dwarven town called Ironforge located in Dun Morogh, where The Alliance recruited the Ironforge dwarves and the Gnomeregan Gnomes into The Alliance. The Alliance eventually arrived at Blackrock mountain and went into siege mode. The goal was to completely obliterate the remainder of The Horde. But Anduin Lothar wasn't an arrogant fool, he knew there was no guarantee that they would win and if they were going to, it would be a long and hard battle to the end. And neither was Doomhammer, he knew that if they lost this battle it would be the end for the Horde as he knew it. So the battle began and after a while, it became clear to Doomhammer that unless he did something, they would surely lose, and so he did something. Orgrim scanned the battlefield looking for one man, The Lion of Azeroth himself, Anduin Lothar. Orgrims idea was simple, remove the head of the monster to kill the beast. A small fraction of the survivors of the Horde army had made it through the Dark Portal while fleeing from the Human Alliance, and when the Alliance destroyed the Portal on the Azerothian side of it two Orc guards got a little glimpse of what was happening on the other side. Orcs and humans fighting a bloody battle, they'd called Ner'zhul, and when he finally reached the portal after a fair amount of orcish soldiers, along with the original death knights, had poured through, the portal caused an explosion, and the gateway between the two worlds was no more. Two years passed, and during this time, the remaining clans on Draenor fought amongst themselves, simply because they didn't have anything else to fight. The Horde was shattered, and many of the clans believed that it was a time that was meant to be forgotten. Ner'zhul himself, though healed from his injury had gone into an 'exile' rarely showing himself even in his own village, and when Teron Gorefiend, who'd escaped to Draenor through the portal approached him in Nagrand, he only spoke of death and the death of the orcish people. It took Gorefiend a while to have Ner'zhul listen to him, and when Ner'zhul finally allowed an audience, he could at last tell Ner'zhul of a great plan..
