Hockey : New Jersey Devils vs New York Rangers start of game line brawl March 19, 2012 [3 fights]
(Re-uploaded) [2012] For the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils Monday night, it was three fights off the opening faceoff. New York's Stu Bickel, usually a defenseman, took the opening faceoff and dropped the gloves against New Jersey's Ryan Carter. Mike Rupp and Eric Boulton, and Brandon Prust and Cam Janssen also squared off. Devils defenseman Bryce Salvador got a misconduct as he tried to pull Bickel off Carter, resulting in 40 penalty minutes just three seconds into the game. The Devils, as visiting team, would have submitted their opening lineup first. Rangers coach John Tortorella yelled at Devils coach Peter DeBoer after the fight. "He was mad about that?" Janssen told the Newark Star-Ledger. "Why'd he send them out there? He knew what was going on." The teams have done this before, just upping the ante this time. On Feb. 7, there were fights between Prust and Boulton and Rupp and Janssen two seconds into the game. In the teams' last meeting on March 6, Carter injured the Rangers' Brandon Dubinsky in a fight. The Rangers lead the NHL this season with 62 fights, according to Hockeyfights.com, while the Devils rank eighth with 38. The rest of Monday's game was calm and the Rangers clinched a playoff spot with a 4-2 victory. Hockey brawl/fight. March 19, 2012.

Hockey : NHL Line brawl - Philadelphia Flyers vs Pittsburgh Penguins April 1, 2012
Sunday's game between bitter rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers turned ugly just before the end. A hip check by Joe Vitale on Danny Briere sparked a brawl between players and incited a screaming match between the coaches of the two teams. Luckily, a Penguins fan harnessed the power of Hulkamania to help calm things down. It was a pretty brutal hit. Just watch Briere's head snap back and you can see what we're talking about. Likely what sparked the brawl and coaches standing on the boards to yell at each other was the game being a high-scoring slugfest already and tempers just boiled over. It's possible the NHL may take a look at the hit, as they've been cracking down on reckless and dangerous hits this season much moreso than usual. Our friend the Hulk Hogan look-alike was on the scene, just behind the glass in back of the Flyers bench. He utilized his deep understanding of conflict-resolution tactics to try and calm things down. In a display of solidarity, Flyers player Scott Hartnell returned the universal symbol of Hulk Hogan camaraderie, the "let me hear you" hand-twirling cup of the ear. Aw, best friends! Only the power of Hulkamania can truly bridge the divide between hometown fans and the opposing team. How fitting that this should happen on WrestleMania Sunday! We salute you, Hulk Hogan Guy. Proof: winpots.com Oliver Wahlstrom plays for the Portland Junior Pirate Pee-Wee Major 97s, a team of 12-year-old players based in Maine. Except Wahlstrom is JUST 9 YEARS OLD, playing up with older competition. One look at this goal, and you can see why. It also doesn't hurt that his father, Joakim Wahlstrom, was a 10-year veteran of the Swedish Elite League. According to NESN, that stunning tally came during the taping of the TD Bank Mini 1-on-1, a series that will debut during the first intermission of the Bruins' game against the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 29. It's also shown in-game at the TD Banknorth Garden. Expect to see this kid in the NHL draft in about 10 years; could be the next Sidney Crosby! He was interviewed on ESPN and said his favorite player is Jeremy Roenick. 9

Video was filmed outdoors at the University of Manitoba quadrangle skating rink during the week of February 6, 2012 and edited together by me.
