Solvent Purification: Hexanes
A mixture of branched chain hexane isomers with a boiling range of 50-65C is isolated from an inexpensive electronics part cleaner. This video shows hexane being expanded by carbon dioxide gas. As the pressure rises, CO2 gas partitions into the hexane liquid, causing it to expand. The volume change becomes more drastic at higher pressures. This video was created in the Critical Fluids Technology and Separations Center in the Ralph E. This is a remix of the track "Pandemonium" off of the American McGee's Alice soundtrack (original artist: Cris Vrenna). I had already done an Alice remix of the Wonderland Woods theme (Dark Pulse of the Woods), but not at all happy with it. When I caught wind of an Alice remix project on McGee's official site, I jumped at the chance to redeem myself. The name Hexane Migraine comes from my experiences working hexane in a chemistry lab for a living. Sniffing too much of it will absolutely lead to a migraine (for me at least), but one night at work, while I was elbow deep in the stuff, I came up with this little diddy in my head. I ran home, cranked it out a week later, and the final result is what you hear now. The original piece is certainly one of the most powerful and alluring tracks on the disc, but considering my source of inspiration at the time, I wanted my version to have a little more bite...like a concentrated chemical reagent...or a migraine even. This is definitely my most complex track to date as I've finally started to get a grasp on mixing and event automation to make my sound a little more dynamic. Hope you enjoy it.

Hexane's Second Maze Run, Trinity Firefighting 2012
Hexane is a 3 DoF hexapod for under $100. It tries to put out the candle at the Trinity Firefighting Competition in its second official maze run. The fan switch on the robot died, so we strapped a sponge onto the fans propeller. The clicking sound is a defective servo in one of the back legs. The robot runs out of time as it makes it to the candle, but the judges let it keep going to see what happens. It ends up knocking the candle over. Still, it is an amazing achievement IMO, considering that its only maze testing was its first official run.

Hexane run cycle preveiw
alright so this is my latest attempt at a run cycle for my fursona Hexane, she is a snow leopard so thats why the frame is supposed to be more cat like although this jumps badly isn't anatomically correct plus randomly gets smaller it is much better than my last few attempts. I used Paint tool SAI to create the individual frames then I pasted them into Jasc Animation shop 3 (which is a free program btw) saved it there then jumped to Windows movie maker to get a suitable file for YT so yea if you have any suggestions on how I could improve this I will gladly take them. Also if anyone knows of any good videos of large cats running could they send them to me since this was done out of some messed up memories or large cats and in general run cycles because I couldn't find a decent vid to reference from.
