It was inspired by a trip to Sardinia that occurred when Starr left the band for two weeks with his family during the sessions for The Beatles. Comparing Elvis and The Beatles really is absurd.I think we all know that if you are sane and not biased by your own insecurity.In my eyes each act was untouchable for different reasons.Whereas Elvis appeal was "possibly "wider due to being safe in his musical approach a matter of debate.The Beatles broke down and pushed out social and musical boundries and took risks with different styles and experimentation in their short time together.Both are incomparable.Both indeed were brilliant.Though I prefer the greatest band in history as opposed to the greatest solo artist. Take care all fans of superb music, I changed the title to this upload because too many parasites feed off it.It`s elvis` 75th I don`t hold much credence for peoples birthday`s when they`re dead.I`ll make an exception for Elvis and John and George. The UK had a Beatles Bank holiday Weekend dedicated to the lads.The most listened to radio station in the land had blanket coverage of The Beatles music,interviews,top selling singles and albums,etc that lasted from the Friday through to Monday.With peoples memories,requests and adulation.Leading one of our top presenters to exclaim "he loved this so much he wish he could have his shows like this all the time".Thank you BBC Radio 2 !
