::BLOG:: wendyslookbook.com facebook.com Hi Everyone! Today, we have a special episode - How to Walk in Heels =) Below are a few tips. Enjoy! 1. Start with a low heel and work your way up to a higher heel. 2. Use the elevation test by lifting your feet while in the heels, and if you can lift your feet one inch up, then the heel height is not too high for you. 3. Enjoy your heels, walk at your own pace, walk slow, and make sure you have good posture. 4. Walk heel to toe, heel to toe. The heel should strike the floor first before your toe does. 5. And practice, practice, practice =)

These high heels are more extreme height. I try the first couple of pair on film. The blue sandals are 6.25 inches and one of my favorite pair of sandals, made by the highest heel! The second pair are 6 inch made by ellie. The patent d'Orsay heels are a little big. Since I wear high heels so much my foot has shrunk. I'm getting a new pair soon though! The 6 inch black patent sandals are almost 10 years old but I still love them! Finally I end the segment with a pair of platform maryjane high heels. Not my normal type of high heel but I thought I would throw it into the mix in case anyone likes it!

How To Train Any Dog To Heel PERFECTLY!
Training a dog to heel is a great exercise which develops several different capacities in a dog. In addition to furthering their learning ability and body awareness, it also aids in teaching them to communicate better with their human. It should be taught like any other trick or behavior, by breaking it up into small successive steps and making it a highly rewarding experience. It is normal for it to take several days and even weeks to get the kind of results demonstrated in this video. Remember to work on it consistently and always allow the dog to be successful. If they are unable to meet reward criteria, then as trainers we must lower criteria, making it easier for several sessions before making it more difficult once again. If this advice is followed, just about any dog can learn to do this. How To Clicker Train "Heel" Position (Dog Training)
A couple of you have been asking how I teach heel, so here it is! The first thing I work on is getting the dog to find the heel position. They have to be VERY good at this first step if we want a reliable, tight and focused heel. A good technique to remove the 'chair' is to put it further away by an inch every day for a week. By the end of the week you will likely no longer need it. Teaching a dog to come around to your side also has a very useful application in loose leash walking. I will go over this in my next video, which will be up in 2 days!
High Heels 2
The second installment focuses more on extreme high heels. A lot of these are 6 plus inches. There are a few that are lower than that but not many. A lot of these are from brands like pleaser, ellie, the highest heel etc. The 6 and 1/4th inch heels prove the hardest to walk in. Most of these are pumps or peep toe pumps. I'll do a segment later on extreme heel sandals. Again there is no music added to this, play what you like.
How to Do the Heel Toe
SALE TODAY: Learn Piano on iOS bit.ly When doing the heel toe, make sure to keep the steps in close to your body rather than further out. Keeping your feet in close makes it easier to maintain balance. The Hop Put your right foot forward. Lift your right foot, putting your weight onto your left leg. Hop forward with your left foot while swinging your right leg back. Land the hop with your right foot behind you. Since this is the basis of the heel toe, it's best to practice it a few times. Heel Toe The heel toe aspect comes in when you're landing the hop. When you land, the heel of your left foot should be touching the ground. The toe of your right foot should be touching the ground, and it should be behind you. Switching Feet To switch to the other foot, hop forward with your right foot while swinging your left leg back. The toe of your left foot should be behind you touching the ground, and the heel of your right foot should be touching the ground. To practice switching feet, do three heel toes in a row, starting with your right foot forward. The Turn The next part of this is, right after landing a hop, turn the foot in front of you out away from your body. For example, if you're hopping on the left foot, it'll land forward on the heel. The Hoof & The Heel - "Tigers" little-videos.com September 16, 2009 We set up on a rooftop in Venice Beach, against the traffic of Pacific Ave. and the intermittent airplanes overhead. It was the building Christine used to live in before traveling to Montreal (she had met Harris and Farid on a trip out there, ended up joining the band, recording an EP, and heading off on a tour across the country, through Canada, and back, all in a frenzied couple-month timeframe). I had been talking to her about possibly doing some artwork for the website, and it turned out her newest musical project happened to be coming to LA for a couple days. So naturally, we had to do a session. This was actually our second attempt to film something (two nights earlier we'd tried the same spot but arrived after it'd gotten dark, so we postponed). The night before, The Hoof & The Heel kicked off their tour at the Viper Room to a typical mingling Tuesday night crowd of begrudging hipsters with vodka tonics and folded arms. But it didn't take long for the crowd to warm up, and even start dancing, by gosh! Their lovable brand of indie-pop, packed to the brim with catchy melodies, call and response harmonies, and a seemingly endless supply of charming synth hooks, is hard to resist. While their album does have a bit of folkiness and moments of melancholy, it tends towards the happier side of things, with layered instrumentation and bouncy arrangements. But this session was decidedly more stripped down ...
