Heavy Takeoff out of Chicago O'hare. Boeing 747-400. Flight from Chicago O'hare to Tokyo Narita. I got lucky and got a free upgrade to Buisness class on the Upper deck. Seat 15K to be exact. Channel 9 is included. Takeoff out of runway 32L, full length. You know your heavy when you need full length out of runway 32L at Chicago. Great flight with United. It was a bumpy departure and holding the camera was kinda hard because the space between the seat and the window is big so I had to stretch my hand out and it was hard to keep the camera still. Working House Fire At 50 Washington In New Chicago In. On 06-01-11
At about 6:50am Lake Station Fire Station 2 was toned out to assist New Chicago FD for a reported fully engulfed house at 50 Washington. Fire 6 reported heavy smoke in the area while responding to the station so it was evident that there was a working fire. On arrival heavy fire was found on the west end of the structure. 2 attack lines were used to bring the fire under control and nobody was injured. Great job done by the New Chicago and Lake Station Fire Departments

This video was released in the early 90's as part of a two piece set from A&E the set included "Brothers in Battle" FDNY. and "In The Heat of the Blaze" Chicago. At the end of Brothers in battle a music video was compiled I was able to edit the footage and get in on here. I hope you enjoy it and if you were lucky enough to see these videos I hope in brings back memories. I do not own the rights to the song or video here. DRIVEN was an attempt by Sly to fashion a movie on Formula One race driving. The result was often a lame an unintenonally funny film with some really bad acting and horrendous casting decisions. This is the quite hilarious chase sequence in the night streets of Chicago where Stallone races after Kip Pardue in an open wheel race car without a helmet and through heavy traffic.
Storm in Chicago: August 4th, 2008
One heck of a storm came through last night. Started with heavy cloud rotation right over my place. I thought for sure we were screwed. First thing to go was one of the satellite dishes from the roof. Skip around for some good lightning caps and toward the end you can see a transformer blowing up in the distance. One hell of a light show! EDIT: Found out this morning the rotation was the tornado. It touched down briefly in Bolingbrook - just a few miles away.

The Historic Chicago Blizzard Of 2011: THUNDERSNOW
On Tuesday, February 1, 2011 lasting through the morning of Wednesday, February 2, 2011, Chicago experienced a historic blizzard with severity that is seen on average once every 20 years. This particular storm had a magnitude comparable to the blizzard of January 26-27, 1967. Over the course of 35 hours on January 26-27, 1967, 23 inches of snow fell on Chicago. As of 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, 20.2 inches of snow was recorded at O'Hare International Airport and 20.9 inches at Midway International Airport, putting the storm ahead of the infamous blizzard of January 1979 that left 18.8 inches. The Chicago Blizzard of 2011 has become the 3rd biggest on record with later reports that could confirm it to be in 2nd place. Snow fell for a total of 22 hours. This blizzard produced snowfall rates of 2-3 inches per hour at times with wind gusts exceeding well over 50 mph. Wind gusts hit 70 mph at the lakefront. Spectacular lightning followed by significant rumbles of thunder occurred with this storm. As reported by Chief Meteorologist from WGN-TV 9 Weather Center, Tom Skilling and Frank Wachowski from Midway. The first few seconds into the film appears the surface analysis on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Note the boundary of high pressure off to the North and a low pressure track below progressing from southwest to northeast. A typical setup for blizzards. Gary Truck 4 Starts On Fire At A Store Front Fire, Heavy Smoke And Fire Showing
Crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 1600 block of Broadway at approximately 1pm on 12-28-11. Crews reported a large header from quite a distance and a working fire was declared in a 25x60 2 story brick apartments over a store front. An aggressive attack was made and conditions deteriorated quickly. An exterior attack was executed from multiple angles. Crews from Lake Station, Lake Ridge, and Merrillville were requested to assist. The building did collapse towards the end of the fire. It has not been determined what happened as of yet to Truck 4 (Truck 7) when it caught fire. One firefighter was treated for exhaustion. Crews worked on the fire scene for over two hours.
