The master of stop motion and inspiration to many of today's special effects artists. This is 'Uncle Ray's' first reaction when the Clash remake news surfaced over a year ago, around 2006. "I've always believed that Stop Motion adds something to the nightmare quality. If you make it too real like CGI, it loses that fantasy quality". We do not know yet what 'Uncle Ray' thinks about the more recent Clash remake 2008 announcement (Louis Leterrier / Director).

Ray Harryhausen speaks at Will Vinton Studios. In 1992 Harryhausen visited Portland Oregon to participate in the Portland Creative Conference. He stopped in at Will Vinton's (one of the founders of the conference) for a studio tour and to give a Q & A session to the staff. The audio quality isn't the best. I shot this with a S-VHS camcorder from the back of the room and did not have a mic on Ray. That said, enjoy!
