Ghulam Ali - Hangama hai kyon - Ghazal This ghazal was also performed by Amanat Ali in Saregamapa 2007 ******************************** Ghulam Ali (born 1940) is a famous Pakistani ghazal singer Ali was born in the village of Kaleke in the Sialkot district of Punjab, British India (now in Pakistan). He belongs to a musical family his father was a vocalist and a sarangi player who gave him early training. At the age of 15, he became a student of the legendary Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, who was a master of the Patiala Gharana (Patiala School) of Hindustani music. His actual training was provided mainly by Bade Ghulam Ali Khan's three brothers Barqat Ali Khan, Mubarak Ali Khan, and Amanat Ali Khan, in Lahore. All these great teachers of classical music taught him the finer nuances of classical music and his solid foundation of classical music included studying Thumri and learning to sing ragas. Career Ali started singing for Radio Lahore in 1960. Ghulam Ali's father named him "Ghulam Ali" after Bade Ghulam Ali. Along with singing ghazals, Ghulam Ali composes music for his ghazals too. His compositions are raaga-based and sometimes include a scientific mixture of raagas. He is known for blending gharana-gaayaki into ghazal and this gives his singing the capability to touch hearts. He beautifully sings Punjabi songs too. Most of his Punjabi songs have been extremely popular. Though from Pakistan, Ghulam Ali remains as popular in India as in Pakistan. Xurasani culture and identity of all Central Asia and the Near East. Nauroz (New Year), drived from ''Nau'', for ''New'' and ''Roz'' for ''Day'' have roots in the indo-european ''Leuk'' and Avestan ''Raocha Nava''. A lute change caused the pronounciation of ''L'' to ''R'', due ''Raocha Nava'', is the oldest celebration of nature. The first day of spring was celebrated by Scythians throughout Central Asia and Sibiria, main ancestors of modern Persians (including Tajiks), Kurds, Ossets etc. and was an integral part of mitraism. Later, this event entered Zoroastrism. In India, ''Nauroz'' is called still after 3000-3500 years as ''holy'' and ''diwali''. From the 2nd century, the term ''Nauroz'' (Middle-Iranian) is in use in Middle East and Central Asia. Today, Nauroz is the main factor of Persianspeaking people, specially in Afghanistan where fascist Pashtuns are seeking for erasing every trace and identity of Non-Pashtuns. Nouroz is today celebrated by nearly half of the world, mostly in Central Asian states and Middle-East, in south Russia, south-east Europe. It´s just a question of time till all nation of the world and even african´s bushmen adopt Nauroz and celebrate it. A spit in the face of our common regional, global, lingual and cultural enemies.

There was/is a saying amongst Shamaliwals that unless a singer has sung ahang e shamali, they aren't a singer yet, well Hangama Jaan with this brilliant rendition of this classic song has definitely proven her worth! This particular song is one rendition of it, ahang e shamali is more of a style and not necessarily a set song with set lyrics, so there's many renditions of it , such as Ahmad Zahir's famous version, even Mangals' sang this song lol...nearly every singer has sung this classic song...but only a few nail it like Ahmad Zahir and Hangama.
