With songs like "Peanut Butter", "Padlock", and her biggest hit "Aint Nothin' Goin' on but the Rent", Gwen Guthrie established herself as an esteem singer-songwriter in the 80's. This is her first single on Island Recordings from the year 1982. This is considered one of the most underrated R&B dance tracks of the 80's. This song has also gained recent notoriety thanks to the GTA Series.
