I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. When I just started playing guitar years ago I found myself hitting some plateaus. The first one was getting my hands used to pressing down the strings and forming chords. Then the next obstacle to overcome was chord changes followed by rhythm and timing. Also it is not easy practicing all of the time especially when you have a busy schedule. But keep in mind that practicing every day for ten or fifteen minutes will help you get better than having a long practice session one day and then take the next few days off. A very common thing I see beginner guitar players do is spend most of their time looking up tabs for guitar songs. There is nothing wrong with learning songs by looking up the sheet music at first. But at some point you will want to transcribe music or in another words learn by ear. I had a tough time breaking the habit of looking up guitar tabs for this song and that song. I mean trying to learn songs by ear is difficult at first. But it will pay off big time once you get it down. Trust me playing guitar becomes a lot more fun once you can listen to any song and play along to it on guitar. This is what the guitar course Jamorama teaches. Some have asked about the "low notes" that come out when I hit those two keys up top - those are guitar effects built in the patch and for whatever reason, Yamaha put those effects on the high keys. I made the background beat using FL Studio. I start the beat by hitting the space-bar on my computer keyboard before I play on the synth. PS. I've read some reviews of this vid as if I'm trying to be a "keytar" player (apparently not a desirable thing, but how can you not like Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein") and that I should just play a real guitar. LOL @ some of those same people who probably play guitar hero (nothing against it but hopefully you see my point)! The irony! The point is, folks, if you find a fun/inspiring sound to jam with, by all means, you should JAM WITH IT! I don't care if you find a $3.00 plastic trumpet. Don't worry about the technicalities and what people say. In the long run it's about the fun that YOU have making music. Thanks for watching!!!

If you're looking for a great way to learn how to play guitar here it is. I've never been able to absorb so much material so fast and see such an improvement in my playing as a result of it. It's really surprising how fast you can learn when you're being taught the right way. The guide is called Jamorama and you can download the online guitar lessons from their site to learn how to play guitar yourself. You can also order DVDs and books from them to learn how to play guitar instead of downloading their online guitar lessons if you choose to - I just downloaded mine and can also download tabs and sheet music online while I'm learning from this program. It'll really help your playing more than you imagine it could - it really has surprised me. You can check it out at the link above. Enjoy!

I just happened upon this trick when testing what it was like filming from inside my guitar. *Note this effect is due to the rolling shutter, which is non-representative of how strings actually vibrate. Tips: • You must have the strings brightly backlit to get the camera to capture at such a high frame rate (pure conjecture). You can see how the effect fades when the buildings come into view. • Use a pencil *This was used with the front facing camera, try the back camera, it may capture better!
