Pin back your lug ols for some serious Class 56 thrashing. First we see 56096 storming through Barnetby with empty coal wagons from Scunthorpe steel works bound for Immingham coal terminal. 5th November 1992. Next is a shot of 56060 departing the land fill site at Stewartby with empty contaminated soil wagons that originate from Chatham dockyards. This service will run to Hoo Junction before being tripped along the dockyard branch on 29th April 1992, Hither Green is the next place visited as 56059 powers out of the station with a loaded sand train from Cliffe heading for Acton on 17th June 1992. Finally we see 56095 at night departing Immingham with a coal train heading for eggborough power station on 10th January 1994.

In 1940, 10 percent of energy consumption in America was used to produce electricity. That number has now increased to 40 percent. As Americans become increasingly dependent on electricity, what is being done to make the nation's electrical grid more resilient and nimble?

On my recent trip to Egypt with Carmen Boulter and group, I ran into Hugh Newman, who was there a day or two early for his trip with Robert Bauval. We had a brief chance to chat while on the plateau behind the Great Pyarmid. He is the author of "Earth Grids: The Secret Patterns of Gaia's Sacred Sites". In addition, he organises the Megalithomania Conferences in Glastonbury (www.megalithomania.co.uk), and in March of 2011 is co-hosting Megolithomania in South Africa with Michael Tellinger. Read the full NASA report at www.datarenegade.com Many nuclear power plants could not remain operational in the event of a long term grid failure, resulting in multiple meltdowns. In the event of a severe solar storm many facilities in many countries could be put in jeopardy. When a plant loses power it has to rely on backup (30 days) required for American plants. The problem with a massive grid failure is not just power, but food, civil issues due to food shortages, fuel distribution, refrigeration issues, etc. Plant workers need to eat as well and a several month grid failure would create absolute pandemonium. Workers would abandon posts in order to help family, fuel would get used up fast. Pumps rely on the grid at gas stations and nuclear power plants. Many nuclear plants in the USA are 30+ years old and have limited power/cooling redundancy. And, no power plants are designed to withstand an 8.3+ earthquakes, besides the power grid issue. Hundreds of Japan Fukashima level events could result within a month to two month period following long term grid failure. Get this conversation going so Congress will take action. Japan has some of the safest standards other countries have far from safe systems. Research for yourself and get people informed. Action must be taken now to prevent this from happening....
