Google honors Robert Moog. He was an American pioneer of electronic music. Bob Moog best known as the inventor of the Moog synthesizer. The Moog synthesizer was one of the first widely used electronic musical instruments. Can you see the Google logo? Robert Moog was born on May 23, 1934. In 1953 at age 19, Moog founded his first company, RA Moog Co. In 1972 Moog changed the company's name to Moog Music. Bob Moog died on April 28, 2005. Happy Birthday, Robert Moog. Tony Schwartz is the founder and president of The Energy Project www.theenergyproject.com He is the co-author of "The Power of Full Engagement", which has been translated into 24 languages. Tony has written three other books, including What Really Matters: Searching for Wisdom in America. His most recent article, "The Science of Stamina," was published in the October 2007 issue of the Harvard Business Review. Demand is relentlessly rising. Our capacity is not keeping pace. The traditional solution to higher demand has been to invest more time. Unfortunately, time is finite, and most of us have no hours left to invest. Energy, however, can be systematically expanded --- and it can also be regularly renewed. To operate at our best, we need four energy sources: physical (quantity), emotional (quality), mental (focus), and the energy of the human spirit (purpose). This talk will focus on the role of energy in fueling sustainable high performance, and in motivating others.

A native of New York City, Moog attended the Bronx High School of Science in New York, graduating in 1952. Moog created the first voltage-controlled subtractive synthesizer to utilize a keyboard as a controller and demonstrated it at the AES convention in 1964. Moog was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor on April 28, 2005. Nearly four months later, he died at the age of 71 in Asheville, North Carolina on August 21, 2005.

What is Google+ (Google Plus) and do I need it?
***This is NOT a paid advertisement*** Google Plus is Google's new social network. But why start a Google Plus account when you already have a Facebook account? Well, Facebook was developed on the premise that everyone is your "friend" which isn't how your social circles work in real life. Google plus is built so that you can intuitively break up all your connections into "circles" and treat each circle separately. (Facebook allows you to do some of the same things but the privacy settings are confusing and constantly changing.) Google Plus has a lot of slick features, but the biggest reason to open a Google Plus account is that if you use a lot of Google products you will inevitably get one some day.
