gnomedex.com - During Gnomedex, Kat came up with a plan that turned out to be one of the highlights of the conference. A few years ago, I asked my friend Derek Miller to write a Gnomedex theme song. Kat remembered this, and convinced Derek to surprise the attendees - and myself - by singing it at the end of the conference. Everyone got involved, and it was a fantastic way to end things. Many thanks to Derek for agreeing to do this. More thanks than I can express to Kat for bringing Gnomedex all together. Thousands of thank you's to all of the volunteers who made it all happen.

That's right - I'm going to choose the best of the bunch, and that person's entry will be seen by millions of people on TELEVISION! Not to mention, I'll throw in a free pass to the conference - and even if you're not able to come, you can transfer or sell that ticket to anybody else on the planet. I'd recommend taking your time with this one, folks - shoddy entries may be accepted as video responses, but only one SUPER DUPER edit is actually going to make the cut. Even if you aren't an Apple fan, you likely still know this man. Steve Wozniak is the co-founder of Apple. His inventions have been credited with shaping the technology advancements of the 1970s. His passion and enthusiasm for the work he has done led the way for an entire generation of technology enthusiasts and developers. His genius and insight pioneered even the machines that we use in our homes and offices today. His humor and ability to take an honest look at himself and his work are things that all of us should aspire to achieve in our own lives. As I look back on previous years of Gnomedex, I have loved every single one of them... and all of our speakers. However, I will freely admit that this is ranked as one of my favorites. Laser Power Beams Tom Nugent to Gnomedex
