Joe Gilliam: What Could Have Been But Never Was
Ever heard of Joe Gilliam? Probably not. Gilliam was the initial catalyst at quarterback in 1974 who first ignited the Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl winning ways. He was the first African-American quarterback to open a season as a starter. After posting a 6-0 preseason record followed by a 4-1-1 regular season Gilliam was benched in favor of Terry Bradshaw. Why? Watch and find out.

Quintessential Gilliam
Officially entitled "Brian Islam and Brucie", in my view one of the best examples of Terry Gilliam's Monty Python animations... -edit- I notice that Monty Python has, rightly, claimed ownership of this video - I thank them for not demanding it be removed, but if they do wish to put it on their own channel I'll gladly remove it. I have no wish to detract from Python's work, and only put this online because it was apparently not, at the time, available anywhere else :)

How Spielberg Might Respond to Terry Gilliam & Salman Rushdie
At the 2002 Telluride Film Festival, director Terry Gilliam and author Salman Rushdie, during a conversation of science fiction films, exchanged a series of criticisms on a handful of Steven Spielberg films -- including "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977), "ET The Extra-Terrestrial" (1982), and "AI Artificial Intelligence" (2001). Most significantly, both Gilliam and Rushdie were under a popular impression that Spielberg had tampered with Stanley Kubrick's vision of "AI" and had supposedly slapped on the film's half-hour finale at the last minute. Ever wonder what Spielberg might say in response to Gilliam and Rushdie's criticisms? This presentation will give you an idea. Note: I do not make any money off of this, nor do I own the rights to these films or this documentary footage. All rights to "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" belong to Columbia/Tristar Home Entertainment. All rights to "ET The Extra-Terrestrial" belong to Universal Home Entertainment. All rights to "AI Artificial Intelligence" belong to both Warner Home Entertainment and DreamWorks Home Entertainment. All rights to Richard Schickel's "Spielberg on Spielberg" documentary belong to Turner Classic Movies. The footage from the Telluride Film Festival was taken from the "Lost in La Mancha" (2002) DVD, property of New Video Group. The entire transcript of the conversation between Gilliam and Rushdie can be found here: www.believermag.com

Originally serialized in Rolling Stone (November 1971), the book catapulted Thompson headfirst toward the Kerouac-Mailer-Capote pantheon and jump-started the entire movement of "gonzo journalism." The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus Trailer HD (Heath's Last Film)
This is the trailer for the upcoming film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, in HD ... Heath Ledgers last film. With some of the most well known stars in the film industry, this cast will blow you away. Starring: Heath Ledger as Tony: A mysterious outsider who joins the group. Gilliam revealed Ledger improvised "half" of his comedic dialogue on set. "I really felt 'We got a tiger by the tail here! I thought here's somebody with the kind of energy I had when I was young."When Ledger died in the midst of production, the role was recast to have Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell portray "physically transformed versions" of the character. Christopher Plummer as Doctor Parnassus: The 1000-year-old leader of a travelling theatre troupe Tom Waits as The Devil Lily Cole as Valentina: Doctor Parnassus's daughter. Andrew Garfield as Anton Verne Troyer as Percy Peter Stormare as a world statesman This story goes beyond your imagination. While the sudden death of prominent Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus player Heath Ledger in January of 2008 left Gilliam and company scrambling to find a means of salvaging the film — which was already well into principal photography at the time — the cavalry soon arrived in the form of Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell, who each serve as alternate-dimension versions of the character originally set to be played by Ledger when the character crosses through a paranormal mirror. Alot of people have been asking what the music is in the ...
