Beyond the Gaze
Scopophilia is a little-known, but increasingly common disorder characterized by an abnormal fondness or love for observation or viewing. For the first time, four individuals talk about how it has affected their lives and what is being done to find a cure. BEYOND THE GAZE was produced in 2003 by Bryan Atkinson (director) and Michael Thede (writer), then film students at the University of Western Ontario. It first screened at the university's student film festival, where it won the prize for Best Overall Impression. Subsequently, it was screened at both the Canadian Film Festival and Aspirations Film Festival that same year.

Fallout 3 All Unique Weapons - Protectron's Gaze & side quest "Superhuman Gambit"
Unique Laser Pistol and one of the possible endings for this quest. It deals considerably more damage than the normal AEP7 Laser Pistol, and fires a cluster of beams at once like a "laser shotgun", although its spread is much tighter than most shotguns found in the game. The spread remains consistently tight when firing outside of VATS; however, when firing within VATS, a registered "miss" will make the spread much wider than it is outside of VATS (though some beams may still connect with the target, doing slight damage). For this reason, this weapon is often more effectively used outside of VATS. The cluster shot only removes 1 ammo cell per blast, but the spread effect is still there, and accuracy is good at mid-long ranges. It has a slightly slower rate of fire and slightly smaller magazine than the standard Laser Pistol, and may be repaired using standard Laser Pistols. Its name comes from The Mechanist's Protectron assistant. The "Protectron's Gaze" is made of parts from that Protectron.

Video Riccardo Arena Music Stefano Tedesco A multi media research project on the theme of "the gaze". An attempt to represent in music and video the gaze, or rather the absence of it. What is it that is incorporated in the passive gaze? Analyzing the human behaviour and its daily and unconscious attitudes we've found it interesting to focus on certain "dead points" of the gaze. Or rather, those particular moments during the day when the gaze is vacant, despite eyes being open. That dead point which is placed between reality and virtuality, body and soul, space and time, ignoring optical reality and projecting mental images. It's like to be and not to be in a place. It's a moment hanging in empty space. From the analysis of this state we are inspired to create a multi media performance.

The footage of Neda in her dying moments was captured by an amateur photographer on a mobile phone and within hours became the symbol of The Green Movement in Iran a cry for resistance by Iranian youth against the tyranny of the Islamic fundamentalist regime. Standing by Neda's side was a young doctor who desperately tried to staunch the bleeding who later bore witness to the fact that she was shot by a member of the government militia, a Basij. In a matter of days Arash Hejazi was forced to flee the country and this book is his attempt to answer the question: 'How did it come to this?' A child of only eight at the time of the Islamic Revolution, Arash explains what it was like growing up in an atmosphere of fear as a member of what has come to be known as the Burnt Generation.
