FREDERICK HARVESTING 2011
frederick harvesting 2011 lyrics to songs A couple guys in first class on a flight From New York to Los Angeles Kinda making small talk, killin' time Flirting with the flight attendants Thirty thousand feet above, could be Oklahoma Just a bunch of square cornfields and wheat farms Man, it all looks the same Miles and miles of back roads and highways Connecting little towns with funny names Who'd want to live down there, in the middle of nowhere They've never drove through Indiana Met the man who plowed that earth Planted the seed, busted his ass for you and me Or caught a harvest moon in Kansas They'd understand why God made Those fly over states I bet that mile long Santa Fe Freight train engineer's seen it all Just like that flatbed cowboy Stacking US Steel on a three-day haul Roads and rails under their feet Yeah, that sounds like a first class seat On the plains of Oklahoma With a windshield sunset in your eyes Like a watercolored painted sky You'll think heavens doors have opened You'll understand why God made Those fly over states Take a ride across the badlands Feel that freedom on your face Breathe in that open space Meet a girl from Amarillo You'll understand why God made You might even wanna plant your stakes In those fly over states Have you ever been through Indiana On the plains of Oklahoma Take a ride There's peanut dust and corn husks driftin' through the air tonight The marchin' band's warmin' up under the football lights There's tractor-trailers backed up ...

Frederick Copleston on Schopenhauer: Section 1
Schopenhauer This program examines the systematic, philosophical pessimism of Arthur Schopenhauer and its emphasis on infraconsciousness, or will, as the irrational motivating force in human nature. Distinguished philosophical historian Frederick Copleston discusses Schopenhauer's theory of underlying reality as experienced through the inner self. On a larger scale, the concept of will is ultimately defined as energy, which is judged to be central to scientific explanations of what drives the universe. The Frederick - Delirium
Mau5trap Record's newest member The Frederick just dropped his first release off the label for free in celebration of his signing and upcoming EP release. The Electro-House track in immense, I can see why Mau5trap signed him. His style on this track sounds like something Feed Me would produce, which I'd consider a huge compliment. I could not imagine how awesome this track sounds live, it is a dance floor destroyer.

Frederick the Great and the Enigma of Prussia • © BBC (full documentary)
The Prussian king Frederick the Great was one of the greatest warriors and leaders in modern European history, achieving greatness through the Seven Years War and lauded as a philosopher and cultured 'Prince of the Enlightenment'. Yet the reputation of both Frederick and his Prussia was to be tarnished by association with Hitler's Nazi regime. Historian Christopher Clark re-examines the life and achievements of one of Germany's most colourful and controversial leaders. Fr. Frederick C. Copleston vs Bertrand Russell - Part 1
BBC Radio Third Programme Recording January 28, 1948. BBC Recording number T7324W. This is an excerpt from the full broadcast from cassette tape A303/5 Open University Course, Problems of Philosophy Units 7-8. Older than 50 years, out of UK/BBC copyright. Pardon the hissy audio. It was recorded 51 years ago after all. I tried to clean it up but I found that the voices were clearer without any filters. Meh. This is an excerpt from the famous BBC Radio debate between Father Frederick C. Copleston and Bertrand Russell. In this section, they discuss Leibniz's Argument from Contingency, which is a form of the Cosmological Argument. It differs from other Cosmological arguments (eg Kalam) in that it is consistent with an eternal universe, as it doesn't appeal to first causes, but rather the principle of sufficient reason. It can be summarized in this way: (1) Everything that exists contingently has a reason for its existence. (2) The universe exists contingently. Therefore: (3) The universe has a reason for its existence. (4) If the universe has a reason for its existence then that reason is God. Therefore: (5) God exists. George Frederick Watts - Paintings (1 of 2)
George Frederic Watts. Birth: Feb. 23, 1817 Death: Jul. 1, 1904. English painter, portrait painter and sculptor, the father of British Symbolism, he specialized in historical and allegorical subjects. In his time he was called "The Victorian Michaelangelo". Watts knew most of the Pre-Raphaelites, and was an important influence on the younger members of the movement. However, he was part of no school or group, and maintained an individual vision. His first major work was "Caratacus Led in Triumph through the Streets of Rome", which won a prize of 300 guineas and was exhibited in Westminster Hall in 1842. He gave away many of his paintings, among them a version of "Love and Life", described by The Magazine of Art as "without question one of the most beautiful canvases he has ever executed". It was sent to the Chicago Exhibition of 1893, and then presented as a gift to the American nation as his contribution to a permanent gallery. The painting was accepted by a Special Act of Congress, but in the President's absence it was not allowed to be displayed in the White House because it was considered obscene. Watts was first married to actress Ellen Terry, but her youth and wish for a career led to their separation after a year. He later married Mary Fraser Tytler, she was primarily a painter and sculptor she designed The Mortuary Chapel in Surrey, England to memorialize her late husband, George Frederick. www.wattsgallery.org.uk en.wikipedia.org Music : Stars of the Lid - Don't ...

Frederick Delius - In a Summer Garden, arranged for piano by Peter Warlock (1921)
In a Summer Garden (1908, rev. 1911) - Piano transcription by Peter Warlock (1921, published 1982) An orchestral fantasy by English composer Frederick Delius (1862-1934), arranged for solo piano by his admirer and colleague Peter Warlock, aka Philip Arnold Heseltine (1894-1930). The score contains two literary quotations. The first is a couplet by Dante Gabriel Rossetti: "All are my blooms; and all sweet blooms of love. To thee I gave while Spring and Summer sang." The second is of unknown origin: "Roses, lilies, and a thousand scented flowers. Bright butterflies, flitting from petal to petal. Beneath the shade of ancient trees, a quiet river with water lilies. In a boat, almost hidden, two people. A thrush is singing in the distance." Pianist: Charles Abramovic
This Jesus Must Die
Frederick B Owens as Caiaphas, Michael Shaeffer as Annas. From 'Jesus Christ Superstar' the film.
FREDERICK'S CHURCH Copenhagen, Denmark
In the middle of the 18th century, King Frederik ordered the construction of the Frederiks Kirke, 'Frederick's Church', in the heart of Copenhagen. Around the dome's massive external balustrade, there are various statues dedicated to a number of important church leaders, including Moses and Martin Luther. With a diameter of more than 31 metres, the Baroque dome of the Frederick's Church is the third largest of its kind in the world and was originally modelled on London's Saint Paul's Cathedral and also Saint Peter's in Rome. But in spite of its beautiful Neo-Classical appearance and numerous splendid sculptures, the final result turned out to be far smaller than originally hoped for by King Frederik The Fifth. However, as the church and its prominent dome blends so harmoniously with the historical townscape of Copenhagen, its present day dimensions have proven to be ideal for its surroundings. The majestic dome of the Frederiks Kirke highlights the architectural importance of this fascinating building as being the largest church of its kind in Scandinavia.
