India Martial art - Kalaripayattu Part-02
Kalaripayattu - The Orient's treasure trove, a gift to the modern world and the mother of all martial arts. Legend traces the 3000-year-old art form to Sage Parasurama- the master of all martial art forms and credited to be the re-claimer of Kerala from the Arabian Sea. Kalaripayattu originated in ancient South India. Kung- fu, popularized by the monks of the Shoaling Temple traces its ancestry to Bodhi Dharma - an Indian Buddhist monk and Kalaripayattu master. Crafted in ancient South India drawing inspiration from the raw power and sinuous strength of the majestic animal forms - Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Wild Boar, Snake, and Crocodile ........ Kalaripayattu laid down the combat code of the Cholas, the Cheras and the Pandyas. Shrouded in deep mystery and mists of secrecy Kalaripayattu was taught by the masters in total isolation, away from prying eyes. Following the collapse of the princely states and the advent of free India - Kalaripayattu has lost its significance as a mortal combat code. In a Phoenix-like resurrection, Kalaripayattu is today emerging in a new avatar - an ancient art form - a source of inspiration for self-expression in dance forms - both traditional and contemporary, in theatre, in fitness and in movies too.

The Nuba of Sudan, Africa practiced a form of martial arts wrestling over 2800 years before Christ. Nei Jia Quan - Internal Martial Arts - Xing Yi Quan
www.njqinternalarts.com The world within, creates the world without. NJQ stands for Nei Jia Quan, translated means 'internal fist'. Nei Jia Quan is comprised of the Taoist internal martial arts Bagua Zhang, Tai Chi Chuan, and Xing Yi Quan. Xing Yi Quan is divided into two main systems the Twelve Animals and the Five Elements. The direction of movement in Xing Yi Quan forms is predominately linear. In practice one walks through the forms coordinating the motions of their entire bodies into one focused unit. The hands, feet and torso all arrive together and the nose, lead hand and lead foot are aligned along the same vertical axis. Great emphasis is placed on the ability to generate power with the whole body and focus it into one pulse which is released in a sudden burst. Video by : www.ripplingmedia.com & Nathan Patrick

The Wudang martial arts are considered internal martial arts because they focus on whole body movements, redirecting incoming force, and teach cultivation of the body's "Qi" (vital energy). Mixed Martial Arts ( MMA ) - Motivational Workout
www.facebook.com - Seguiteci su Facebook con la nostra pagina dedicata al Fitness e Bodybuilding - Mixed Martial Arts is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, judo and other styles. The roots of modern mixed martial arts can be traced back to the ancient Olympic combat sport of Pankration. Various mixed style contests also took place throughout Europe, Japan and the Pacific Rim during the early 1900s. The combat sport of Vale Tudo that had developed in Brazil from the 1920s was brought to the United States by the Gracie family in 1993 with the founding of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), which is currently the largest MMA promotion company worldwide. Prior to the UFC, professional MMA events had also been held in Japan by Shooto since 1989. In due course, the more dangerous Vale Tudo style bouts of the early UFC's were made safer with the implementation of additional rules, leading to the popular regulated form of MMA seen today. Originally promoted as a competition with the intention of finding the most effective martial arts for real unarmed combat situations, competitors were pitted against one another with minimal rules.[2] Later, fighters employed multiple martial arts into their style while promoters adopted additional rules aimed at increasing safety for competitors and to promote mainstream ...

Its Called Tricking - A documentary on the history and culture of martial arts tricking
It's not tricking if you're not having fun. Originating from martial arts kicks, tricking is a form of self-expression that blends kicking, twisting, and flipping into creative combinations. The tricking phenomena, driven by online video sharing, is a global community of athletes who see their art as not only an alternative sport, but a lifestyle. www.facebook.com Throughout 2010, Jacob Wolfman traveled around the country, grabbing whatever camera he could find, and went out and filmed some of the best trickers in the US and the World. Using only the equipment available at the local library, Jacob developed a 50 minute long documentary about tricking by simply letting the trickers in their own words, explain what it is that they do. www.facebook.com www.twitter.com jacobwolfman@gmail.com Featuring: Sesshoumaru, Gemma Nguyen, Mike Welch, Ben Atkins, Mike Chat, Jefferson Lewis, Emerson Doyle, John Vanek, Dave Cheatwood, Vellu Saarela, Michael Guthrie and MORE!
