John Flynn's "Dover"
"Dover" was written by John Flynn as a response to the US policy of not letting the caskets of fallen American soldiers be photographed as they returned home. He felt it was wrong that the cost of the war was being hidden and that the sacrifices of these brave men and women were not being acknowledged. It was written around the time of the 1000th US Military death in the Iraq war. This song is a tribute to those who make the ultimate sacrifice in their duty to our country. TRON: LEGACY - FLYNN'S ARCADE with LIGHT CYCLE: DAFT PUNK & JOURNEY - COMIC CON 2009

This is a video I shot and edited that depicts the reproduction of Flynn's Arcade which debuted during Comic-Con in San Diego on 7/23/09. I was at the Grand Opening that night -- and this event featured the first ever actual playable incarnation of the classic "Space Paranoids" arcade game as seen in the original TRON movie. I implemented Journey's song: "Only Solutions" from the original 1982 TRON Motion Picture Soundtrack (which was played in "Flynn's Arcade" in the original movie) during the overview of the arcade - and Daft Punk's original music for the TRON: LEGACY event plays when the "secret hallway" is revealed that lies behind the iconic TRON arcade game. A multiple display of "light cycle" concept artwork is then shown in this hallway -- and ultimately, the incredible new TRON: LEGACY light cycle makes a dramatic appearance. This was definitely a historic pop culture event, and I'm glad to share it with others through my video here now -- enjoy! Sean Leslie Flynn (born May 31, 1941; disappeared April 6, 1970, age 28; declared legally dead in 1984 was an American actor and freelance photojournalist best known for his coverage of the Vietnam War. He started a news service in Saigon with John Steinbeck IV, son of the American author. Flynn was the only child of the marriage of Errol Flynn and Lili Damita. After studying briefly at Duke University, he became a movie actor like his parents. Sean and Errol Flynn had only one thing in common. Both were uncommonly handsome. At six-two, blond, hazel eyes, Sean was considered by many to be le plus beau. Like his father he attracted women. Unlike his father he didn't chase skirts. Neither was he a boozer or a brawler. Sam Flynn is the son of famous video game creator and digital pioneer Kevin Flynn. He was born in 1982. His mother passed away unexpectedly in 1985, leaving Sam and Kevin. In 1989, Sam's father was on the verge of a major discovery when he disappeared with no trace, leaving Sam's grandparents to take care of him. Legally, Sam is the largest shareholder of ENCOM, the company his dad worked for, but he doesn't want any of the stock. He lives modestly with his pet dog in a shipping container reconstituted into a home on the river with a beautiful view of the city and the Encom building itself.

He is said to be coming back for hard-ticket events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, hopefully he'll be back in the parks full time someday as well. There were a lot of tears from cast members, guests, and Flynn himself. We even asked him to show us the smolder one last time! (Jeff asked him on the first day we videotaped Flynn and Rapunzel before the film Tangled came out). We were glad to be there today, but it was an emotional ending to Flynn's character at the Magic Kingdom. During Comic-Con 2010, Disney once again revealed Flynn's Arcade just like they did in 2009 -- but this time, the games weren't playable, and the arcade seemed abandoned. Hidden behind its walls was Kevin Flynn's workshop, and a digitizing laser that zapped visitors into the END OF LINE CLUB, a denizen for rogue programs on the game grid.
