Echoes - 23:16 Meddle is the sixth studio album by English progressive rock group Pink Floyd. It was released in October 1971. The album was recorded at a series of locations around London, including Abbey Road Studios. With no material to work with and no clear idea of the album's direction, the band devised a series of novel experiments which eventually inspired the album's signature track, "Echoes". Although many of the group's later albums would be unified by a central theme with lyrics written mainly by Roger Waters, Meddle was a group effort with lyrical contributions from each member. Meddle was produced between the band's touring commitments, from January to August 1971. It was well-received by music critics upon its release, but despite being commercially successful in the United Kingdom, lackluster publicity on the part of their US label led to poor sales there.

Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto Super Welterweight Championship Highlights & Results Floyd Mayweather Jr. used his speed and accuracy to win a unanimous decision Saturday night over a game Miguel Cotto in one of his toughest fights ever. Mayweather dominated late, rocking Cotto in the 12th round to pull out a win and remain unbeaten in 43 fights. But it wasn't easy, with Mayweather getting his nose bloodied and Cotto fighting until the final bell. Two judges scored the fight 117-111 and the third had it 118-110. The Associated Press had Mayweather winning 116-112. "You're a hell of a champion," Mayweather told Cotto in the ring afterward. "You're the toughest guy I ever fought." Fighting just a few weeks before he enters a county jail to serve a three-month sentence for domestic abuse, Mayweather found himself in a tough fight against a game opponent who never stopped moving forward. But he was faster and more accurate than Cotto and seemed to wear him down in the final rounds. In the last round, Mayweather landed his best punch of the night, a left uppercut that seemed to hurt Cotto. He followed that with several flurries to the head to wrap up a decision that until the later rounds had been in doubt. The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is the début album by the English rock group Pink Floyd, and the only one made under founding member Syd Barrett's leadership. The album contains whimsical lyrics about space, scarecrows, gnomes, bicycles and fairy tales, along with psychedelic instrumental songs. The album was initially released in 1967 by Columbia/EMI in the United Kingdom and Tower/Capitol in the United States. Special limited editions were issued to mark its thirtieth and fortieth anniversaries in 1997 and 2007, respectively.Architecture students Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright, and art student Syd Barrett, had performed in various guises since 1962, and began touring as "The Pink Floyd" in 1965. They turned professional on 1 February 1967, when they signed with EMI, with an advance fee of £5000. Their first single, a song about a kleptomaniac transvestite titled "Arnold Layne", was released on 11 March to mild controversy - Radio London refused to air it. About three weeks later the band were introduced to the mainstream media. Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto Super Welterweight Championship HBO Boxing Full Fight
Fight fans, once again, it's the biggest fight week of the calendar year. With the Cinco De Mayo holiday weekend approaching, that can only mean one thing. We have the biggest pay-per-view star of boxing returning to the ring, Floyd Mayweather Jr., who will be going up back up to 154 pounds to fight Puerto Rican star Miguel Cotto for his WBA championship belt. Some quick updates to get everyone up to speed. Cotto will be earning his highest purse ever, and it has been reported that he will be making around $30 million just for this fight with Mayweather. Floyd has been uncharacteristically respectful and even praised his opponent Cotto by telling the media that he's a solid, good opponent and should be viewed as undefeated. Floyd notes that Cotto's only two losses were to an alleged loaded Antonio Margarito and to Manny Pacquiao at a catch-weight, which he feels drained Cotto.
