Flotilla (Gameplay/Review) - Random Indie Games!

Thumbs up pals! :D This is a turn based type game, similar to frozen synapse. It has an adventure mode where you collect ships and weapons while exploring through a galaxy. It is a game that is simple in style, but amazingly fun to play. I REALLY like this game and this developer. It was made by blendo games, the people that made atom zombie smasher! I express my first impressions while showing some gameplay, and play through one combat mission. This video is part of a series where I "review" random indie games, check out some of my other videos!

Israel Intercepts Gaza-Bound Flotilla; Dozens Remain Detained Including DN! Correspondent

www.DemocracyNow.org - Israeli forces intercepted two Gaza-bound boats in international waters on Friday to prevent the boats from breaking the naval blockade of Gaza. The Canadian and Irish boats made up the "Freedom Waves to Gaza" flotilla. Israel detained the 27 activists on board, as well as all of the journalists — including Democracy Now! correspondent Jihan Hafiz. According to flotilla organizers, 21 people remain in Israeli custody, including Hafiz. The flotilla marked the latest failed attempt by international activists to challenge the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza. Democracy Now! speaks to journalist Lina Atallah who was on the Canadian boat named "Tahrir" in the flotilla and was deported to Egypt yesterday. She is the managing editor of Al-Masry Al-Youm English Edition, an independent news website. The Israeli navy "cornered our boats from all sides. We were all equally put at gunpoint. Even before they boarded our boat, everyone was put at gunpoint from Israeli ships," Atallah says. "Although we were clearly showing that we were journalists, Jihan Hafiz, for example, who is a Democracy Now! journalist, had her press card out and clear, but she was one of the first people asked to lean on her knees and to raise her hands." Atallah said some passengers were tasered. Israel Deports Democracy Now! Correspondent; Most Gaza Flotilla Activists Still Detained

www.DemocracyNow.org - The Israeli government continues to detain a number of passengers seized in international waters Friday while trying to challenge the Israeli naval blockade on Gaza. The passengers were on two boats -- one from Canada and the other from Ireland -- as part of the "Freedom Waves to Gaza" flotilla -- which aimed to port in Gaza. According to flotilla organizers, some 20 activists are believed to remain in custody after refusing to sign statements asserting they had entered Israel illegally. Flotilla organizers have accused the Israeli military of abusing the activists, with allegations of physical assault and the use of tasers. Democracy Now! correspondent Jihan Hafiz was among those detained in the Israeli interception of the Gaza-bound ships despite her press credentials. While jailed, Hafiz says an Iraeli official told her, "the Israeli government does not see my reporting, or Democracy Now!'s, as reporting, as journalism. It's to them activism. They said that this form of journalism is actually activism." Hafiz had been filing daily reports for Democracy Now! from the Canadian ship named "Tahrir." She spent three nights behind bars, where she was strip-searched and denied phone calls to relatives for 48 hours. She was finally deported Monday night and arrived in New York City just hours ago. Israel has not returned her $20000 worth of equipment or footage. In a Democracy Now! exclusive, Hafiz describes what took place on Friday and her detention ...

Flotilla- Quick Battle: Destroyers and Beam Frigate (HD)

A quick battle in Flotilla a quick play space game. You have seven months to live and so you journey into the universe. This is a demonstration of battling in Flotilla. I wanted to show what the uses of the Destroyer class and the Beam Frigate are. Destroyer (the small ship that you have 2 of when you start) use long range missiles and have the best speed (besides proto fighters). The Beam Frigate has a very short range and fighting against them is a lot easier than other Flotilla videos makes it seem (I will make a few videos of How To for Flotilla). Since the AI rarely uses the "Flank Move" (which allows you to move further in a turn but you cannot fire your weapons) the computer will continuously use "Attack Move" (which moves the ship a normal amount and allows it to fire when something is in range) and since the Destroyers will always move faster and have more range if you use "Attack Move" I had to move towards the Beam Frigate to show how much damage it can do! This is important as in a longer journey you will acquire this ship and the other ships that use Beam weapons.

Gaza flotilla passengers positive about their mission - PressTV

www.facebook.com The freedom wave continues on its path to Gaza. Despite Israeli warnings that it will be intercepted, passengers on the two boats led by groups from Canada and Ireland remain positive about their mission. As with previous attempts at breaking the siege, one common theme is the diverse nature of its participants. "Despite the fact that the boats were forced to reduce their numbers by the Turkish port authorities, the two vessels carry passengers from Canada, Ireland, The US, Australia, and of course Palestine. This remains, as its predecessors have been, an international effort." Michael is from Sydney Australia. He's making the journey at significant personal expense, for the second time, after the attempt at launching a flotilla earlier this year was crushed by Greek authorities. He says he's driven by his experiences in Palestine. See and hear Michael Coleman who says he was outraged at what he saw and is shocked by the amount of global ignorance on the issue Michael is joined by Kit from the US, who believes Americans have a responsibility to challenge their government's role in the Middle East. Israel has, as in the past, condemned the initiative as a provocation, and a threat to its security. It says the waves of boats are a futile and worthless gesture, and any aid should go through its ports. For now the propellers keep turning, the passengers inside waiting. They have faith that one day they will reach Gaza. But today, Israel's warships loom over ...

Freedom Flotilla II

Victoria Free Gaza Coalition is holding a rally this Saturday in support of Kevin Neish and the Freedom Flotilla II. Neish is somewhere in the middle east preparing to bring humanitarian supplies to Palestinian people. Israel has enforced a land and sea blockade of the Gaza Strip since 2007. Last year Neish and dozens of other people involved in the original flotillas were attacked by Israeli commandoes - 9 people died. Neish was imprisoned for 3 days. But instead of fearing another assault, Neish remains outraged at the deaths of his friends and the unwillingness of the Israel to let aid through. Neish says the flotilla is larger than last year and includes a Canadian ship. The participants are getting passive resistance training and plan to link arms should their vessels be boarded again. Neish is advising the activists to expect stun grenades, tear gas, handcuffs, strip searches and jail. But he hopes that the flotilla will successfully bring the medical supplies, playground gear and housing kits to Palestine. The rally, at Victoria's Visitor Information Centre, is at 2pm Saturday, June 25. Follow Meribeth Burton on Twitter - www.twitter.com

BBC Bias: The Gaza Freedom Flotilla

CORRECTION: At 4:18 the words should have been "...with one of the highest unemployment rates in the world." Whatever happened on the Mavi Marmara on the morning of May 31st, 2010, the BBC's Panorama team failed to give a balanced view of it in its so-called documentary, Death in the Med. Even the title sounds more like that of a paperback mystery, rather than a serious analysis of Israel's worst atrocity since Operation Cast Lead. Documentaries should be truthful and informative and expand our understanding of situations and events; their content should be rigorously checked for errors in statements which are presented as facts and conjecture, and the personal opinions of their writers and presenters should be explicitly identified as such. But Death in the Med failed any test based on those parameters. The BBC's television and radio services reach an audience measured in hundreds of millions, world-wide, but are primarily funded by taxes and license fees paid by the British public; not by Israel or its influential friends. Panorama's biased and often untruthful Treatment of Israel's worst atrocity since Operation Cast Lead should trigger a public enquiry about who is really in charge of one of the most influential broadcasters on the planet.

Hamas reacts to findings on Gaza flotilla raid

Turkey has expelled Israel's ambassador and cut military ties after failing to get an apology over last year's Gaza flotilla raid. The announcement came ahead of the publication of a United Nations report into the attack. An early copy seen by Al Jazeera reproaches Israel for using excessive force - but also criticises some of those onboard for violent resistance. Israel has yet to officially respond to the findings, however, Hamas, the movement which controls Gaza, has. Ahmed Youssef, a high-ranking Hamas official, told Al Jazeera that he rejected the finding that Israel's blockade on the territory was lawful.

israel arrests #freedomwaves Flotilla activists and Press TV journalist

This was the last footage we received of Press TV correspondent Hassan Ghani reporting from the Freedom Wave, two boats led by groups from Canada and Ireland, attempting to break the siege on Gaza and get aid to the impoverished strip. Several hours later, Hassan tells us the boat is being surrounded. As we wrap up the conversation just 5 minutes later, the situation intensifies. That's the last we heard from Hassan. Israel raided the flotilla, and arrested those on board. They are now in Israeli jail. We spoke to Hassan's father Haq for the latest he's heard from his son. Hassan was also aboard the Mavi Marmara that was attacked by the Israeli Military, leaving nine people dead. He was arrested and warned never to return. This time he was on-board with former press TV journalist Jihan Hafiz who was reporting for US based democracy now and other journalists too. Gazan journalist and activist Sameh Habeeb says the Israeli action is all a part of the siege strategy. Israel had called the freedom wave a provocation and a threat to its national security. We contacted the foreign office who told us that a consular officer will be visiting Hassan again Sunday morning, that all detainees were moved quickly through the port and immigration to a detention center and that Hassan had called his arrest "extremely objectionable in principle". They say it is very likely that Hassan will be deported from Israel soon. But for now he remains a journalist in an Israeli pris إسرائيل تهجم ...

Palestina Flotilla 2 Sabotaged

The latest flotilla convoy of ships headed to Palestine have been boarded and detained at gunpoint by Greek commandos. Here Steve Johnson talks to one of the volunteers about the vital work being done behind the scenes all around the world by unknown volunteers and helpers. In this interview here: "Mexi " an 18 year old video editor, gives Steve her thoughts opinions and information about whats really going on with the insidious world of israeli sabotage and deception, and the inside view of the Flotilla organisation from a Mexican muslim perception. The negative attitude of the Greek government was not unexpected however what only a handfull of people know is the behind the scenes payoffs that Israel gave Greece for causing trouble for the flotilla ships. Thus It is not surprising either that the IMF cleared the way for bailout money JUST AS Greek port authorities detained the US ship: Audacity of Hope which was carrying former serviceperson Ann Wright and a number of Journalists and prominent peoples sending goods and badly needed supplies to GAZA. Israel, in sheer desperation at not being able to kill everyone this time like they tried last year could ONLY send in sabotage divers in an attempt to damage the Irish and Swedish boats to potentially sink them. An vicious act of pre-meditated potential murder which the Irish Govt. has recently demanded an investigation of. Despite the setbacks and damage, the Flotilla are positive and looking forward to continuing the ...
