How to Create Drama with Easy Floral Ideas with Nico De Swert | Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn's floral designer and stylist Nico De Swert shows simple yet unique ideas to arrange your home florals in this video. You can create a grid of vases using the Pottery Barn square bud vases. Nico places candles in some of the vases. In others, he adds rose flower heads, garnished with some leaves. Here's another great suggestion from Nico for making centerpieces for your dining table. Just take out a large Pottery Barn Bosphorus Bowl and put in some seeded eucalyptus to create a bed at the bottom of the vase. Add some water and create a circle of rose heads. Nestle a candle in the middle for a perfect finish. Nico shares another suggestion about creating a terrarium inside the Pottery Barn Voluminous Canister. In order to do that, place two hydrangea heads as florals in the canister and throw in clusters of button-chrysanthemums as decor. Shape Galax leaves into cones out of and fix with a floral stapler to hold their shape. Nico makes an interesting posy of these leaf cones to add to his floral arrangement. In order to create a fall look for your coffee table with tiny floral arrangements Nico suggest pulling out the small Pottery Barn Square Vases and crowding them with grass sticks to use as a flower frog. Insert some bare sunflower heads into the floral arrangement for beautiful autumn decor. Hey Everyone! First let me say I got back from the movies and the group of ladies wererather awesome!! I think it was more like 13 or so! I guess I let anxiety get to me a bit. But for real it never goes right... Anyway GO SEE FOR COLORED GIRLS. If I could sum it up without giving anything away, it's the heaviest peice of visual poetry and truth I've seen an a LONG time. Oscars should be passed out like Halloween candy. Have tissue on hand and if you can see it by yourself or with other women to take it all in and then take your man. Put it this way, it's one of those movies where after it's over it's just silent you need a couple hours to get it together. Let me know if I'm lyin... Ok enough of that I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. Now my take on contrasting patterns. If you feel it then rock it! but try not to have two bold patterns. IMO there has to be a primary and a secondary. IE one pattern larger or bolder than the other. The colors can be contrasting or complimentary. Give it a try and see what you come up with! I LOVE the dress I was wearing in this video. I found it in a local charity shop and instantly was attracted to the floral print and pleats, but it was a size 22/24! Nevertheless I bought it and made it work with a belt; it was just too beautiful to miss. Now when I wear it it makes me feel exceedingly Spring-like and elegant. My sister said I looked like I'd walked out of the movie 'Atonement' and that's kind of how I felt a little. I love the beginning of the film where they're at their big manor house laying in the sun or swimming in the sun. OOTD: Pastels, Florals, and Lace for the Summer
READ ME!!! If you notice...I am trying something out different. That is probably why it is kind of awkward. Also, do you notice the change in quality? :] I got a new cam everyone! I do hope this will make my videos much more enjoyable to watch. This outfit was inspired by the summer and the nice cool breeze that the weather has been producing. The blazer is a nice lilac color, which really works with the summer season. It is not too heavy, very light weight material and quite cooling to the body. Florals are everywhere! This is the current trend. The floral shorts I got are not of a thick denim and quite comfy. As for the lace blouse, I feel in love with the detailing and it is quite sheer which is also a trend with the blouses during summer.
