This also shows the first class terminal experience at Frankfurt, which is truly unique in the way first class passengers are treated. Crazy F-86 Pilots 526th FBS USAFE
One of the first Air Force Squadron made videos. This one is about the arrival of the "new" North American F-86F Sabre jet. This was made by the 526th FBS (Fighter Bomber Squadron),"The Black Knights". This film was made at a USAFE base in Germany in 1953. I was aware this video existed and eventually found it to post here, because my dad was a "Geiger Tiger". The "Geiger Tigers" were the 498th FIS (Fighter Interceptor Squadron) and flew th F-86D model. The F-86 "D" model was know as the Sabredog. The "Tigers" had a motto to which in part said, "We can beat any man, from any land, at any game that he can name, for any amount that he can count". So the "Tigers" were not going to sit by and let lessor squadrons take the limelight. So the "Tigers" soon produced their own movie, titled, "Oh How They Flew". That video is also available on my page here on youtube. The "Tigers" movie became an Air Force hit, achieving almost "cult like" status. So great was the demand for their film, that the Air Force hired Hollywood professionals to re-make the movie for mass distribution within the Air Force. UFO Footage From Serbia! This is the story send to me regarding this Amazing Sighting! It is fairly clear night, I went to rinse neighbor Dragan, when we noticed an unusual phenomenon in the sky. Seven Orange-red illuminated globe on a regular semi-circle formation was directly above our house. There was no sound, even when the noise as planes fly over. I immediately remembered that I take a camera because I was fascinated by the unusual appearance [11:01:22 AM] Dusan Djukic: There were about twenty of these balls, but they all flew together, in groups of three or four. At one point they flew a group of seven, in the right semicircle. Two balls were somehow just remained above Jovana's house, one was stopped as it waited for the other reaches, which is why I conclude that they were guided, or that the pilots had - trying Rakic for "Press" to explain what he saw. The balls flew to Cacak, but John and Dragan witness that they are not landed, but were, they said, simply lost in the cloud. An unusual phenomenon was noted in the center of the radar Bukulja, glowing balls about anything not even know the Gornjomilanovačka Department of Emergency Management. However, the internet forums have already appeared in numerous testimonies of people from Kragujevac and Pozarevac who have seen similar phenomena in their environments.

As a first report I will summarize what I think I achieved by going to Oshkosh with the worlds first electric seaplane. First, I know that I have inspired a lot of people as I think that I have shown an electric aircraft is practical now, with today's technology. In flying a total of 10 flights, totaling 4.5 hours in the air at Oshkosh, I believe that I flew over ten times longer than any other electric aircraft at Oshkosh this year. Even though I never flew in front of the main crowds, I was still swamped after my flights by the relatively few people that made their way down to the ultralight runway early in the morning or just before dark when I had my time to fly in the ultralight area. Each of my 1/2 hr flights was in the same time-slot as the powered parachutes. I chose these slots because the powered parachutes had a tight flyby circuit. Had I flown in the regular ultralight slot, I would not have been seen but once every ten minutes due to the size of the circuit they were required to fly. As it was, I was able to fly down the ultralight runway every 2 minutes or so at between 100 and 300 feet high. I really must say thanks again to the parachute guys for letting me join them. In each of my 1/2 hr flights I was able to show both gliding and single engine performance of the amphib ...

Stuka Ace - Hans-Ulrich Rudel
Visit The War Years www.thewaryears.co.uk The most successful combat pilot of all time, Hans-Ulrich Rudel flew the infamous JU-87 Stuka dive-bomber throughout World War Two. Rudel ended his wartime career as Germany's most decorated serviceman. He was one of only 27 men to be awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds, and the only one to be awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Golden Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds (Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes mit goldenem Eichenlaub, Schwertern und Brillanten). Rudel flew 2530 combat missions claiming a total of 2000 targets destroyed; including 800 vehicles, 519 tanks, 150 artillery pieces, a destroyer, two cruisers, one Soviet battleship, 70 landing craft, 4 armoured trains, several bridges and nine aircraft which he shot down. Rudel was never shot down by another pilot, only by anti-aircraft fire. He was shot down or forced to land 32 times, several times behind enemy lines. He was wounded five times and rescued six stranded aircrew from enemy territory. Rudel helped in the development of the A10 ground-attack aircraft. A confirmed Nazi during the war, Rudel's right-wing connections and beliefs were the cause of some controversy for the remainder of his life. Rudel died in 1982.

Laika Space Dog - The first living creature who flew a rocket into space on Nov. 3, 1957, a great pity that from space, she never returned. After it flew into space and returned safely back to, dogs Belka and Strelka. Drawing a dog is not very complicated in comparison with drawing of people, and most difficult task is more plausible to draw a dog's fur. Glider Racing into Thunderstorm
31 minutes of crazy cockpit footage of Day 1 in the 15-meter Gliding Nationals for 2011 out of Logan, Utah. The first turn point took us right into a huge thunderstorm. A few smart pilots flew to the east of the storm and touched the turn cylinder. The rest of us did not see that option and flew right into the belly of the beast. Well more than half of the gliders got caught in the storm and landed out. This video shows pilot Bruno Vassel IV - B4 flying a highly modified ASW20B into a small gap in the rain trying to touch the turn cylinder and get out. Shows dozen of lightning strikes WAY too close, really cool looking rain, massive sink trying to get out, getting very low over the mountains while still in the storm in heavy storm front turbulence and rain, radio chatter of other gliders landing out at both airports and in fields in the middle of the storm, a lightning strike right next to the glider and when all hope was almost lost hitting an 11+ knot thermal (1100 feet per minute lift) that took the glider back up to cloud base and saved the day. Yes, a lot of people are going to criticize the decision to even fly into this storm. You are probably right. I wanted to share this because it shows how flying into a "gap" in a thunderstorm might look not all that bad but the storm can quickly close in on you and things go from bad to worse much quicker than you would like. Lee Richardson Death Crash! 13.05.2012 RIP Lee ! Speedway Rider Lee Richardson Dies In Massive Bike Crash. He ran on Tomasz Jedrzejak rear wheels and then flew straight into the wood fence. Great Britain international speedway rider Lee Richardson has died following a crash in Poland, aged 33.
Emergency Landing Cessna 170B
August 5, 1989 I had an engine failure in my Cessna 170B (N170JA) just as I was entering Mystic Pass, in the Alaska Range. My front seat passenger was taking video -- and he continued to film until just above the ground when I yelled "it's gonna be rough" and he decided he better stop filming and hang on. As for what happened to the airplane, before leaving on the chopper I had walked off 900' usable feet of gravel bar. A friend who is also an excellent bush pilot and an A&P flew in a borrowed engine (in his Cessna 206U), landing next to my airplane. Using a spruce-legged tripod made from local trees, he swapped out engines right there on the gravel bar. Only took him four hours. We flew my airplane to the A & P's hangar where he put together a "new" engine for me. I sold the airplane in 1992 and the last I checked, it's still in Alaska.
America at Risk: Dave Deptula on the Military's Aging Aviation Force
site.heritage.org | Dave Deptula, a retired three-star general, has witnessed this "geriatric aviation force" firsthand. He earned his wings and flew an F-15 for the first time in 1977. Thirty years later, another Deptula boarded the aircraft. His son flew the same F-15 at Kadena Air Force Base in Japan. The Wall Street Journal documented the amazing father-son story last fall to illustrate the challenges facing the aging force. The elder Deptula recounted for The Heritage Foundation how fiscal constraints have hampered the military's modernization and recapitalization strategy for the aging aviation force.

Red Bull's Aerial Ballet: Blaniks & Wingsuits
Red Bull Wednesday shared video of one of its latest sponsored adventures -- five wingsuit skydivers joining up with and maintaining formation with two sailplanes in a dive over Austria. The team flew two aerobatic LET L-13 Blanik sailplanes and just to complicate things the lead flew inverted. The skydivers and gliders came together in formation at roughly 12000 feet. The sailplanes wore wingtip mounted smoke canisters and one skydiver wore one on an ankle. The trick of the task was mating airspeed and descent rates and this time all members performed flawlessly. Generally, wingsuits manage their best glide (roughly 2.5:1) at close to 75 mph. The Blaniks are a 1950's era metal design and manage close to 30:1 at about 55. For the stunt, the team found a common airspeed closer to 110 mph, found and held formation with the requisite precision.
