It's Hallowe'en, and Jack Frost (in his ice-covered airplane) covers the fields with frost. A chilly scarecrow plucks a wind-blown piece of paper out of the air; it's an invitation to Betty's Hallowe'en party ("ps, Bring Your Lunch"). Betty is mass-producing jack o'lanterns with the help of her animal friends. The party goers arrive, and join with Betty in song. Meanwhile, a hulking gorilla gatecrashes the party, and threatens to ruin the evening. Betty and friends turn the table on the beast, and scare him out the party. Betty sings "Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing." DID YOU KNOW??? Betty Boop made her first appearance on August 9, 1930, in the cartoon Dizzy Dishes. Max Fleischer finalized Betty Boop as a human character in 1932. In 2004, Betty Boop was voted among the 100 Greatest Cartoons in a poll conducted by the British television channel Channel 4, ranking at #96. In 2002, Betty was voted in TV Guide's 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time, ranking #17. In March, 2009, a UK newspaper voted Betty Boop the second sexiest cartoon character of all time, with Jessica Rabbit in first place and the Cadbury's Caramel Bunny in third. In August 2010, the inaugural Betty Boop Festival was held in the city of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, and the second Festival was held in July 2011.

Betty Boop 1933 Cab Calloway "Snow-White"
This 1933 cartoon featuring Cab Calloway is remarkable for having been animated by a single individual, Roland C. Crandall, and is considered one of the best cartoons ever made. Crandall received the opportunity to make Snow White on his own as a reward for his several years of devotion to the Fleischer studio, and the resulting film is considered both his masterwork and an important milestone of The Golden Age of American animation. (See The 50 Greatest Cartoons, as Selected by 1000 Animation Professionals, edited by Jerry Beck, Turner Publishing, Inc., 1994.) You don't get to see any live action of Cab in "Snow White," which is too bad, but the animation is incredible and, of course, the music is Cab and his Orchestra at their best. First Cab sings "St. James Infirmary" in the rotoscoped guise of Koko the Clown. "St. James Infirmary" was Cab's original signature tune, but he wanted something written specifically for himself, so he and Irving Mills wrote "Minnie the Moocher" to supplant "St. James Infirmary." The two melodies are extremely similar, and also bear a close resemblance to "Prohibition Blues." "Snow White" ends with the old Missourians instrumental, "Stopping the Traffic." This plot, such as it is, is really more a framework to display a series of gags, musical selections, and clever animation. Critics have cited the film as having some of the most imaginative animation and background drawings from the Fleischer Studios artists ...
