Flamenco Spanish Guitar.Excellent !!! Enjoy This Acoustic Amazing Gypsy rumba
Flamenco is a style of music and dance which is native to several regions of southern Spain. Along with its Romani origins, Spanish, Byzantine, Sephardic and Moorish elements have often been cited as influences in the development of flamenco. It has frequently been asserted that these influences coalesced near the end of the reconquista, in the 15th century. The origins of the word flamenco are unclear. It was not recorded until the late 18th century. Flamenco is popularly depicted as being the music of Andalusian gitanos (gypsies) but historically its roots are in mainstream Andalusian society, in the latter half of the 18th century.[note 1] Other regions, notably Extremadura and Murcia, have also contributed to the development of flamenco, and many flamenco artists have been born outside the gitano community. Latin American and especially Cuban influences have also contributed, as evidenced in the dances of "Ida y Vuelta". On November 16, 2010, UNESCO declared Flamenco one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. The Golden Age During the Golden Age of Flamenco, between 1869--1910, flamenco developed rapidly in cafés cantantes, a new type of venue offering ticketed public performances. Dancers became a public attraction. Guitar players supporting the dancers increasingly gained a reputation, and so flamenco guitar as an art form was born. Silverio Franconetti, a sailor of Italian descent is said to have been the first "encyclopedic" singer ...

Miles Davis - Flamenco Sketches
From the 'Kind of Blue' sessions, the finest jazz sessions in the history of jazz. Probably the most influential sessions also. All of this is one take and pure improvisation. This is the take that went on the album, there are others. Bill Evan's sense of composition, melody, and modal progression are on full display in this song. He was the one who composed it, then they all made magic in the studio. Miles Davis' crowning achievement was putting these guys and these songs together. I think this is an improvement over my last upload(lost when account deleted) of this that had hundreds of thousands of views. I think the audio is better and I got some photos for a slideshow instead of the fixed image from last time. Enjoy.
Spanish Guitar Flamenco Malagueña Malaguena !!! A must see By Yannick lebossé
Spanish Guitar Flamenco .Malagueñas is one of the traditional styles of Andalusian music (flamenco), derived from earlier types of fandango from the area of Málaga, classified among the Cantes de Levante. You can also watch Antonio Banderas - La Malagueña (Érase Una Vez En México) Originally a folk-song type, it became a flamenco style in the 19th century. It is not normally used for dance, as it is generally interpreted with no regular rhythmic pattern, as a "cante libre". It has a very rich melody with virtuous flourishes and use of microtones. Its guitar accompaniment is normally played in open position first inversion giving E for the tonic, which can be transposed by using a capo. Origins Malagueñas derive from local variety of the Fandangos, a type of dance that, with different regional variations and even different names, became very popular in great part of Spain in the 18th century. Although nowadays malagueñas are a typical instance of "cante libre", performed at libitum and normally not used for the dance, folkloric fandangos were originally sung and played at a fast speed, with a rhythmic pattern in 6/8, to accompany dance. Some of these primitive fandangos from Málaga, called Verdiales are still performed nowadays at folkloric gatherings by large non-professional groups called "Pandas", which use a high number of guitars, "bandurrias" (a sort of mandoline), violins, and tambourines. [edit]Development Towards the second half of the 19th century, some ...
FINGERSTYLE GUITAR: Flamenco Rumba Guitar
www.creativeguitarstudio.com Search Andrew Wasson.com for FREE lesson Handouts. This Video: January 06, 2012 | Search Videos by Title/Date. GO TO: www.andrewwasson.com Andrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question... Q: I'm still just an Intermediate level guitarist, but I love the sound of Flamenco Guitar and in particular, "Rumba." I know advanced Flamenco guitar involves certain levels of technique. But, is there a basic Rumba piece and a few exercises you might be able to teach that could start me off? Ramonna -- Buenos Aires, Argentina A: Flamenco guitar is without a doubt very expressive and full of emotion. A large part of conveying that, "Correct Rumba Feeling," is very important. Of course, it goes without saying that an vital part of learning this, (or any other style), is spending ample time listening to a lot of authentic Flamenco music as much as you possibly can. In the video lesson, I'll be keeping things simple - doing my best to stay at the Intermediate playing level for those watching. Rumba is performed with a syncopated 2/4 rhythm. The rhythmic dynamic accents occur upon the 1st, 4th and 7th sixteenth-notes of the measure. Pay close attention to the rhythmic feel in the videos, Example #1). This is the vital element regarding Rumba. Get this down and everything else will slowly fall into place as well. Flamenco Guitar Master Vicente Gomez
This 1950s video features composer, guitarist Vicente Gomez performing some of his Alegrias composition. For those unfamiliar with Gomez, he was born in Madrid in 1911 and got an early start in music performing flamenco in his father's red light district tavern by the age of 8. Concert pianist Arthur Rubenstein eventually heard him play (presumably not while frequenting Madrid's red light district!) and encouraged him to pursue a professional career. He toured the world performing in the 1930s and became a US citizen in the 1940s. He was drafted into the Army in 1943 and discharged in 1946, after which he opened a nightclub in New York, performing classical and flamenco music on his guitar nightly. During this period he also served as President of the New York Classical Guitar Society. In the 1950s he moved to Los Angeles and opened "The Academy of Spanish Arts" to teach classical and flamenco guitar, flamenco dancing, Spanish language, etc. He was also a frequent contributor to film music. Vicente Gomez passed away in December 2001 at the age of 90, just two months after his wife passed away.
Vengo - Sufi Flamenco Scene
Director: Tony Gatlif Writers: Tony Gatlif Caco is a proud, handsome man, head of a family, and very powerful in the local community. Yet he has been torn to pieces by the death of his beloved daughter. He constantly visits her grave, weeps silently at her photo and has transferred all his wildly protective love and attention onto his mentally challenged nephew, Diego. It seems that Diego's father, Caco's brother, is in hiding after having killed a man from the Caravaca family, who are equally powerful in the community. They are looking for vengeance and have come to Caco for justice. When he refuses to betray his brother, the Caravacas grow impatient. When they realize they are getting nowhere, they threaten to kill Diego. Despite his fierce pride, Caco eventually realizes that the cycle of killing and revenge must be broken. But how can he achieve this and protect everyone he loves?

The show blends the passion of gypsy music with the hypnotic sounds of Indian classical music. Anoushka Shankar said: "For me making music is obviously something I love to do, but it's also a way to explore... so to make an album that is in a genre that is completely new to me, was almost like taking myself out of my comfort zone and having to survive, in a way.
