Look what happened with the obsessed Paula Abdul fan who killed herself because she couldn't be close to Puala. TURN ON THE NEWS! This is real. This is a problem. There are plenty of people living vicariously through celebrities.
And even those who aren't so extreme, it's important to live your own life.
Everyone who thinks I'm a hypocrite for telling people NOT TO LIVE YOUR LIFE THROUGH YOUR FAVORITE CELEBRITY, I have room to tell you this and talk about this because I've been there.
So say what you want. Everyone bringing up the Britney video- I am not sititng around watching her videos all day.. I am not sititng around obsessing, doing nothing. By making Leave Britney Alone, I WAS DOING SOMETHING! I spoke out. I defended her as a person.
There is a difference between being obsessed and caring.
I don't want teens living their lives vicariously through their favorite celebrities. It is okay to be inspired- it is not okay when you don't go out and fulfill your destiny because you're too involved in your favorite celebrities life.
