It was inspired by a Salvation Army house near Lennon's childhood home. "Strawberry Fields Forever" was originally intended for the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), but was instead released in February 1967 as a double A-side single with Paul McCartney's "Penny Lane". When she was nine years old, her father taught her to play the guitar, and she began to play and sing at family gatherings. While a student at Bowie High School, she sang with a local band called Stonehenge, and received considerable praise. He rides on a duck and keeps a rabbit as an advisor and a cat as bodyguard. He lives in "Goshdesh". When happy, he blesses anyone with pink skin and plenty of fats, making them look babylike. I can only suppose that he was throwing a thinly vailed comment about the waitress' (Jody Gilbert) large stature?
