High Fiber Foods - Healthy Weight Loss

Naturopathic Doctors strongly suggest that we increase roughage (fiber) in our diets. The latest holistic medical research suggests the high incidence of heart disease, diabetes, bowel disease, hernia and diverticulitis in western countries on a lack of dietary fiber in the diet. How much dietary fiber are you consuming on a daily basis? Americans usually avoid high fiber diets because of a concern that it will increase gas levels and bloating. As a matter of fact eating fiber will help the normal detoxification processes, normalize your bowel and support maintenance of a healthy weight and prevent bowel diseases. Dietary fiber amounts are now listed on most product labels in supermarkets. It is suggested that we consume at least 35 grams of dietary fiber daily. This amount can assist in re-establishing proper digestion in your body by toning and strengthening your bowel, eliminating harmful toxins. High Fiber Foods in Your Diet represent the revolutionary way for you to lose weight, prevent disease, stay slim and have more energy. Dietary fiber and digestive enzymes are a great way to improve poor digestion. www.fiber25diet.com

The Super Fiber that Controls Your Appetite and Blood Sugar

Imagine eating 12 pounds of food a day -- and still staying thin and healthy. That may sound crazy, but it's exactly what our hunter-gatherer ancestors ate for millennia! And they didn't have any obesity or chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, or dementia. The key was fiber. And in today's UltraWellness blog, Dr. Mark Hyman will tell you how increasing your daily intake of soluble fiber can help you reduce your appetite, lose weight, and protect you from chronic illness.

Fiber Optic Connector Types

L-com Global Connectivity (www.L-com.com) Explains Fiber Optic Connector Types There are several types of fiber optic connectors available today. The most common are ST, SC, FC, MT-RJ and LC style connectors. All of these types of connectors can be used with either multimode of singlemode fiber. There are three types of polishes which can be applied to a fiber connector: PC or Physical contact, UPC or Ultra Physical contact and APC or Angled Physical contact. Each polish type exhibits a different level of back reflection. Back reflection is a measure of the light reflected off the end of a fiber connector. This light is measured in decibals. For certain applications, the amount of back reflection on a fiber connector is critical. View more tips and videos at www.L-com.com

Circuit Skills: Fiber Optics

Animusic is a computer animation company specializing in the visualization of MIDI-based music. This is a computer generated video showing surreal objects which look like deformed fluorescent tubes making music by glowing in a room that resembles an alien spacecraft. In the middle, there is a drum set that is played by projectiles of light. It seems that most of the objects are being fed light via fiber optic cables from something on the ceiling. Each of the lighting objects has a unique synthesized sound. Here they are in the order they start playing: 0:04 green: warm pad 0:15 white: echo synth pulses 0:41 purple: synth bass guitar 0:42 drum set (including synthesized drums) 1:19 red: lead synth 1:20 yellow: chorus synth 3:16 green: synth arpeggio 4:18 green: synth arpeggio (higher pitched)

Carbon Fiber

*I do not own the rights to this video. This is not my video. I got it from Dailymotion.com to share here on youtube. Explore the inner compounds of a carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is the common name used to refer to plastic reinforced by a graphite textile. Less frequently, the term is used to describe the textile itself, but it is pretty much useless unless embedded in plastic. Carbon fiber is known alternatively as carbon fiber reinforced plastic or carbon fiber composite. Carbon fiber is very expensive, but has a fantastic weight-to-strength ratio. Attempts to put it into mass production have so far failed, due to inadequate demand, the customized nature of most carbon fiber parts, and a lack of skilled craftsmen. The material is employed in high-quality cars, boats, bicycles, and planes, including popular Formula One racecars. Depending on the orientation of the fiber, the carbon fiber composite can be stronger in a certain direction or equally strong in all directions. A small piece can withstand an impact of many tons and still deform minimally. The complex interwoven nature of the fiber makes it very difficult to break. In terms of weight-to-strength ratio, carbon fiber composite is currently the best material that our civilization can produce in appreciable quantities. Introducing carbon nanotubes into the fiber is currently in research stages, and may offer improved ratios of 10 times or greater a space age material indeed. Carbon fibers are chemically grown on ...

Portal's 'Still Alive' Played by Fiber Laser

See 'Want You Gone' played with a laser here!: www.youtube.com UPDATE 3/22: Thanks for all the supportive comments! You will be happy to know that due to the incredible support (that I was not expecting) I am working on another tune and making it even better than this one! I've seen a lot of questions about how this was done (and a few about it being fake - which I can assure you it's not) so here's the sort explanation. The laser beam makes sound when it strikes the plate. By turning the laser on and off hundreds of times per second it acts almost like a speaker cone moving back and forth hundreds of times per second - making various pitches. Some pitches are off key and will always be due to the laser "only" being accurate to .001". Due to how close different note frequencies are together it would need to be accurate to .0002" or better (totally useless for industrial marking) to always be on key. The rounding up/down to .001" gets the notes "close enough" but still off by a few cents. Thanks again! Chris UPDATE 3/21: I received word back from Valve and it looks like they already have enough people making Portal merchandise, so for the time being the plates are all mine. Miiiiiiiinnnneeeeee! Sorry. UPDATE: There has been a lot of interest in these stainless plates with the Aperture logo (thanks!). I've sent a few emails to Valve asking for their permission to make them for you - it is their logo after all. If you want to be kept in the loop send me a message and I will ...

What is Fiber Optics?

www.fiberoptics4sale.com - Fiber Optics Tutorial, Fiber Optics Cable, Fiber Optics Installation, Fiber Optics Splicing This picture shows a bunch of fiber enclosed in a single black color protective jacket. So how is light guided and travels inside the fiber? This video shows a beam of light that travels inside a water stream by total internal reflection. Optical fibers work the same way. So let's take a look. A glass fiber has a cylindrical structure and is composed of three layers. At the center is the core, core has higher refractive index. Outside of core is the cladding layer. Cladding layer has lower refractive index than the core. The third layer is a plastic buffer coating. This buffer coating doesn't affect the fiber's optical performance, it is there for mechanical protection only. The right picture shows how light is coupled into the fiber's core and bounced back and forth in the core and travels along the fiber. The core and cladding layers are all based on fused silica which is a type of glass. But this fused silica is extremely clear, with almost no impurities. This transparency is extremely important, so that the light can travel for a very long distance, such as hundreds of kilometers with minimum loss. This makes trans-Pacific and trans-continent fiber optic communications possible. Here comes the question. Why doesn't the light leak out of the fiber? That is why we have to explain the phenomenon of total internal reflection. The left picture shows ...

150 mile wardrobe: local fiber, real color, Gandhi economy

Except for notions (buttons, zippers, etc), everything in Rebecca Burgess' wardrobe has been grown and designed within 150 miles of her home. But until putting her closet on a diet one year ago, nearly all her clothing was produced far from home, and that made her a very typical American. Over the past half century the US textile industry has been decimated. "In 1965, 95% of the clothing in a typical American's closet was made in America," Burgess writes on her blog, "today less than 5% of our clothes are made here." Upset by the outsourcing of the American wardrobe, as well as the disconnect this by the waste produced by the textile industry worldwide (it's the #1 polluter of fresh water on the planet and America's 5th largest polluting industry), Burgess decided she needed to focus public attention on local fabric, in the same way the food movement had done with local food. Inspired by the success of challenges like the 100 Mile Diet, Burgess decided to put her closet on a diet. For six weeks she wore one outfit (created from local rancher Sally Fox's color-grown cotton that Fox had milled back in 1983 before the area lost all of its mills), but then local designers, in collaboration with local farmers, began creating more hand spun/knitted/dyed pieces until her wardrobe had become so complete she even had a naturally-wicking alpaca raincoat. Rebecca calls her experiment the Fibershed Project, because like a foodshed or watershed, her fibershed- the 150 mile radius of ...

.22 mag Derringer Carbon fiber pocket gun

My Derringer with the custom carbon grips I made for it. It's not the best pocket pistol. In fact, it's probably one of the worst defensive pocket guns that are made today in terms of speed, caliber, and round count, however it is reliable and some semi auto pocket pistols are not. Especially in this price range. I have always liked these guns and that is the main reason that I bought it. This gun can be carried pretty much anywhere it's legal and no one will notice that you're armed. No one will be scared, call the police, ask you to leave the establishment, etc. I even had someone ask me if it was a lighter. Bottom line, I got this gun because I like it and not because it's the best pocket gun. I wanted to make custom grips for derringers for awhile now and now I am making them. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN GRIPS FOR YOUR DERRINGER I WILL BE MAKING GRIPS LIKE THESE AND SEVERAL OTHER STYLES WITH DIFFERENT COLORS AND MATERIALS. If you'd like a set for your derringer then send me a message on here and I'll get you fixed up.

How to Carbon Fiber Vinyl your wheels!!! Tutorial

Instructional guide on how to add carbon fiber Vinyl to your wheels for an epic, new, sleek, black rims look for around at 5% of the price!!! Very eye-catching. It was even the first thing my boss noticed Monday morning! For the Vinyl just search "Carbon Fiber Vinyl" on eBay & find a dealer selling a role that is large enough for your wheels + some extra. Mine was $30 at 1.270mx1m, giving me enough for 6 of my wheels in case i screwed any up. You need a sharp crafting knife, hair dryer/low powered heat gun, towel/rag, a small piece of card, your Vinyl & clean wheels. UPDATE! after about 2 months through the Aussie outback summer, some of the edges have lifted, I simply trimmed the loose spots & it still looks good. UPDATE! After about 5 months i took them off when i got new tyres because they got a bit damaged, there was only some sticky residue where some of the edges had lifted themselves prematurely.
