After bringing light into the world of so many with his 'Mr Sunshine EP' and 'NRV', Laszlo has created another picturesque and intricate soundscape with the track 'Satori'. This is the third track to be heard from his up and coming album, planned for release early 2011 and whilst keeping the signature sound of Laszlo, 'Satori' incorporates vocal melody using processed sampled female vocals and layering his own voice below. 'Satori' is a display of Laszlo's immense enthusiasm for the fusion of sound and textures, using primarily a diverse mixture of organic instruments such as piano, mandolin, flute (brilliantly played by the artist, Harmony) and vocal, blended with distinctive broken percussion and intelligent use of electronics. Never one to shy away from his influences, Laszlo cites these from the likes of Contemporary Jazz musicians such as Avishai Cohen and Esbjorn Svensson as well as pshychedelic virtuoso composers like Chick Corea and most importantly the legend who is Frank Zappa. This is further proof of Laszlo being more than just a producer with Logic Audio and a hard drive full of VSTs; this is a composer creating a sound of his own, blending sophisticated endearing melodies with instrumentation and contemporary production.
