1978. San Diego. I'd just come out the other side of a relationship that blew up...I was angry, and disillusioned, and ultimately self-destructive. I'd lost everything I believed in ...I was as utterly, completely alone as I've ever been. So I began going on walks. I started taking late-night walks around the San Diego suburb I was living in at the time. I'd start walking early evening, and come back close to midnight, sometimes later. Walking and thinking and chewing over what had gone wrong with my life. One night, at Fourth and E Streets, I got mugged and beaten by a street gang—sent me to the hospital with serious intimations of mortality. When the ER techs asked what my religion was, I refused to answer. I made my private peace with the universe, content with whatever was going to happen, live or die. Then something happened. I got angry. I got angry because I still had stories to tell. So I fought back. It took two months to fully recover. But two things came out of that incident. First, I have no fear of death. None whatsoever. Second, as soon as I was well enough, I started walking again, sometimes until 3 or 4 in the morning through parts of town that made even street people nervous. When people asked what I was doing out there, the only answer I could give was, "I'm looking for something." So I kept walking through some of the most dangerous parts of San Diego, before it got cleaned up, when it was still home to hookers and drunks and gangs. Finally, one ...

Download Audio: vibedeck.com I've been extremely busy the last month or so. First my computer died on me, then finals, then work, and on top of that most of my family moved away to India. So sorry for the delay in videos. I'm still preoccupied, but I hope to be able to start putting videos up again. This was highly requested from long ago so I hope you guys enjoy it. I've really thought about how I record my audio and what has sounded good over the past videos. I combined those elements as best I could. I don't have two microphones of equal quality, so I recorded the left four and right four drives separately and pushed the audio to their respective side. I then recorded all eight and put it through a low pass filter and a small bass boost. I think the resulting mix of the three tracks sounds the best. It takes a lot more time to record and edit, but I thought it was worth it. Let me know what you think. Oh and I also started a FaceBook page. EXTRAS - 60000 Dominos (Personal Record)
Extra angles, and footage from my 60K project. I was going to include this at the end of the main video, but decided to keep it separate. For the main video, I wanted to just show the setup and the fall, keeping it very simple. A lot of the extra pans and views I took turned out shaky, and I didn't like them. Why is there a gap in the big dominos? If you watch the 'fails' video, this is where the boards I build on come together and are not even. Since I had trouble building on the one side already, I left a gap. It's not that noticeable until the angle is changed. Why are some towers higher than others? The type of dominos I use consist of two types/shapes. After so many levels, the slight width difference starts to show. Why did you remake your U-Turn video? This one is twice as large...do you not like when I remake things I've already made? Let me know in the comments, because there are a few projects I made years ago that I would like to remake bigger and or better. What is the music from?
