Semi-Formal Edgy Updo

♥ Open here for more information ♥ This look would be great for a semi-formal occasion :) It's easy to do and should work on hair that's shoulder length and longer, it's not meant to be a 'tidy do', it's a fun funky look. One or two day 'old' hair is best to work with as freshly washed hair (like mine here) gets a bit slippery. You can add mousse before teasing to add more volume and spray with hairspray when it's done. Prep: Before I started, I washed my hair and applied my Giovanni Direct Leave-In. Then I used a t-shirt to soak up the excess water in my hair. This style was done on slightly damp hair. The Hairstyle: 3 flat twists on both sides of your head with a Bantu knot at the ends. The remaining hair was done in two strand twists. Maintenance: To maintain this style at night I re-do the twists, put my satin bonnet on and go to bed. This is a fun edgy style with numerous possibilities.
