(Oklahoma City) August 20, 2011 around 6:30pm an OCSO deputy driving westbound on SW 29th Street near S. Pennsylvania Avenue was struck head on by a man driving eastbound in the westbound lane. The deputy received some minor inuries to his leg and his K-9 partner was checked by an emergency veterinary clinic as a precaution. San Diego County Sheriff's Department - DUI Court Sting
Sheriff's Deputies and officers from the County's Avoid the 14 Taskforce conducted a Suspended Drivers License/DUI court sting operation on Wednesday, December 28th from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the Vista Courthouse on South Melrose Drive. Deputies and officers targeted DUI offenders who were driving while unlicensed or driving on a suspended license. The court sting was held in conjunction with a MADD victim impact panel being held at the courthouse. "Our goal for this operation was to ensure compliance since many offenders were specifically ordered by a judge not to drive," said Lieutenant Jose Sanchez of the Sheriff's Department Traffic Services Division. 357 drivers were contacted. Of those, 67 vehicles were sent into a secondary screening area, 25 vehicles were towed, 15 citations were issued for driving on a suspended license, 11 citations were issued for driving without a license and 1 arrest was made for driving on a suspended license with multiple convictions. Some offenders will face new charges and others may face jail time, added fees or have their vehicles impounded for 30 days.

High Speed Two Car Injury DUI Accident With Extrication Pioneer Way Puyallup WA
August 30, 2011. The 6200 block of Pioneer Way E, Puyallup, WA. At about 5:10PM the driver of the east bound Mazda was driving at high rate of speed well over the posted speed limit and suspected of DUI lost control, crossing the centerline, hitting the SUV causing it to rollover off of the roadway. The innocent victim in the SUV had to be extricated by cutting a portion of the roof off. Fortunately the injuries are not life threatening. The at fault driver did suffer serious leg injuries. The engine of the Mazda was ripped out coming to rest in a ditch several feet away along with remains of it's radiator. I didn't see where the left drive wheel landed. Central Pierce Fire and Rescue responded and did excellent work. The Pierce County Sheriff is investigating the accident. Pioneer Way was closed for more than 4 hours,
